“Delicious, thanks,” Anya smiled. “Do we have any more? These are the good kind. You know, the ones with added sugar.”

"Yeah, they're in that cupboard. Feel free to eat an many as you want," Spencer said, pulling his now-hot food out of the microwave. "Mm… Reheated chicken and peas… My favorite…"

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Anya laughed, scraping out the van and putting it in the garbage can. As she walked over to the cupboard to get more pears, she said, “You can share my peaches, if you want.”

Spencer smiled. "No, you can have them. I'll throw a can of sweet potatoes onto a baking sheet and pop it in the oven."

(I'm internally laughing at Rose in TP&TH RP.)

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

//I just read that lol
It’s grate

(Lol. Isn't it?

Do you realize you spell 'great' wrong?
Or is that on purpose?)

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

//‘twas purposeful

(Ah, okay.
I was wondering because I was like, "Does she know she does that? Or what?")

Spencer smiled. "No, you can have them. I'll throw a can of sweet potatoes onto a baking sheet and pop it in the oven."

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Ooh, my aunt used to make that,” Anya said, opening her second can of peaches. “It’s yummy.”

"Yeah. My mom used to make it for me when I was younger," Spencer explained quietly, turning so that he wasn't facing Anya.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Anya nodded wordlessly. She sensed that she had accidentally breached a sensitive subject. “Are you sure you don’t want peaches? They’re really good.”

Spencer shook his head as he looked for the sweet potatoes. "No, I'm good. Thanks, though," he said, pulling out a can from one of the cupboards. He searched for a baking sheet and managed to find one under the stove. Turning back to Anya, a false smile on his face, he asked, "Could I use that can opener, though?"

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Of course.” Anya handed the can opener to Spencer, searching his eyes.

(I just started reading Matched. I suppose I'll see if it's any good…)

"Thank you," Spencer said it from her. He turned to his sweet potatoes once again, biting his lip once his back was to Anya, and started preparing everything.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

//oh I read that. As the series progresses, it gets worse, in my opinion…

“Anytime,” Anya said, not referring to the can opener.

(Okay. I just know that there was some hype about it, so… Yeah, that's about it.
I'm really just waiting for the next Selection ebook to be available so I can read it. Lol.)

Spencer silently nodded. He stuck the food into the oven and set it for the correct temperature, then turned back to Anya, clearing his throat.

"So… Besides spying, what do you like to do, Ms. Romanova?" he asked with a smirk as he leaned back on the counter.

(I've barely started it and it's already kinda bothering me. Lol.
It's just because of how it's written.)

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

//lol
Yeah, I had to suffer through those 3 books
It’s one of those where you don’t want to read it but you have to know what happens
At least it was for me

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

Spencer silently nodded. He stuck the food into the oven and set it for the correct temperature, then turned back to Anya, clearing his throat.

"So… Besides spying, what do you like to do, Ms. Romanova?" he asked with a smirk as he leaned back on the counter.

“You know, I like ‘Peaches’ considerably more than ‘Ms. Romanova’,” Anya sighed. “And to be entirely honest, I haven’t done much that I can remember besides spying… though I do like watching movies…”

Spencer chuckled.

"All right then, Peaches. What kinds of movies do you like to watch?" he asked.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Anything, really. Except action and scary movies. Those hit a bit too close to home, if you know what I mean,” Anya said, eating another peach.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Right, yeah. I totally get that," Spencer agreed, nodding.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Comedies are good. Fantasy, too.” Anya twirled her fork in one hand.

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Mm-hm. I like comedies. They're a much-needed break from this job," Spencer declared.

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Agreed,” Anya nodded. “Do you have a favorite?”

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

Spencer thought for a moment.

"I like Bedtime Stories," he answered. "That one's pretty funny."

@CWTurtleOfFreedom

“Really? I saw that when I was on a mission in Italy. Wasn’t my favorite, but it was good,” Anya said, recollecting. “I think mine might be… well, for a while I really liked AntMan, but then I went on a mission that was remarkably similar to that… now, I think I’m undecided.”

group
@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Ant-Man was good, too. I actually really liked it," Spencer agreed.

A loud beeping suddenly interrupted their conversation, and he whipped around to open the oven. His sweet potatoes were almost burnt, but not quite.

Perfect timing.

He took them out and set the baking sheet on top of the stove to let them cool, then turned back to Anya.
