Hopping in the car after holding the door open tor her to get it and starting it.
"Again, if you don't like her or feel comfortable, you can always stay at my place….if course unless you don't feel comfortable here either."
He says while driving down the town.
"Yeah, thanks." She was staring out the car window as the buildings and people went by at speeds she wasn't used to. She found it very cool. "Town is really pretty, I like this style of architecture." Her eyes almost had a sparkle while still staring out the window.

"Yeah? Look up there"
He says pointing towards a sleeping volcano.
"I used to hike up there every year."
He says with a little smile on his face as he turns a corner.
"Woah! We should hike up there sometime! It looks really pretty!" At this point, her hands were on the window to try and get a better look at things.

"That would be fun!"
He says as he pulls up into a driveway. Turning off his car and stepping out, he turned to her.
"You ready?"
"Yep!" She got out of the car and walked up to the door slightly behind him, suddenly feeling shy.

Knocking on the door, a girl with brown long hair opened it with a sweet smile. She was almost as short as her, but just a tad taller.
"Oh, Eli! I heard what happened! What's going on?"
She asks him in a sweet soft voice as she motions for them to come in.
"Well, I was wondering if Penelope was okay with it if you were also okay with her living with you… I figured since you have such a big house….only for you…"
He says sitting on the couch.
She followed Elijah in Harley's house slowly, looking around the house. She sat down on the couch with him. She was looking down at the ground not wanting to make eye contact with her. For some reason, Penelope was feeling exceptionally shy.

"Oh, sure! If she's alright with it?"
Harley says looking at the girl, mildly concerned. Elijah a little worried too, but he wasn't going to ask her anything about it.
She heard silence and looked up to see Harley looking at her. She sent her a small smile. "…Hello… I'm Penelope." She looked back down to the ground while leaning back on the couch.

"Well, would you like to stay with me? Until you get everything sorted out that is."
She sent her a smile right back at Penelope.
She looked back up at Harley. "I mean sure… but I don't really know you… what if we all hang out together for the rest of the day?" She had a genuine smile. She was so appreciative of Elijah and Harley, they had been nothing but kind to her, considering the circumstances.

"Yeah that would be fun! And again you don't have to if you don't want to. I don't want you to feel pressured or anything."
Harley said a bit shyly. She was as sweet as honey, but she could defend herself anytime. Hence why she's glad to live alone.
She sat up, still on the couch. "So what do you all like to do? I am pretty behind the times… I have been a statue for 11 years and just from the little that I've seen, things are pretty different."

"Well… I like to swim, we live by the ocean but Eli-"
She gets interrupted by Elijah,
"What no! I love the ocean and…water"
He says obviously lying. He was absolutely terrified of the water….the ocean in particular.
"Anyway, we could go to the markets….get you some new clothes. Oh, I also have some you can have!"
Harley says trying to straighten everything up. Her living room wasn't messy, but she was a little paranoid.
"… Let's not go to the ocean. Elijah, you don't seem so sure about it." She smiled at him, still needing to look up even though they were sitting down. "The market sounds fun though! And I don't want to take your clothes, Harley. Does this town have a roller rink?… wait what year is it?"

"I'm okay, and….yeah we do, the old rink, downtown, it's still up and running."
Elijah says as he stands up looking at everyone. He didn't want to be a burden to everyone else.
(Probably just 2019? I have some more backstory that I want to reveal soon and you'll understand why she asked that question eventually)
"Oo! Yay! I haven't rollerbladed in maybe 30 years? So I might be a bit rusty." She stood up after Elijah, now in a very good mood.

"I forget that you're….technically older than me….by quite a bit"
He says ruffling her hair with a lottke laugh.
She giggles. "Yeah… I'm actually supposed to be… just a lot older… but stuff has happened." She sighs looking down for a second then back up. "So! Where to first?"

"Well…i guess the rink!"
Eli walked to the door looking back at Harley.
"You coming?"
He asks with a smile as she races to the door, kicking his forehead.
"This is going to be so much fun!!" She made her way to the door then into the back seat of Elijah's car, allowing Harley to sit in the front with him.

Harley walking out, sitting in the front seat as Elijah started the car. Looking at him as he starts up the car, running his finger through his hair as he smiles at Penelope. Looking at Harley, she quickly looked away with her face red. She had to keep on reminding herself, that he had someone now. He didn't really need her…other than to give his girlfriend a place to stay. For about seven years, she had liked him…and she always thought she had a chance, but….guess not.
Penelope looks at both of them and smile. As Elijah starts driving, she looks out the window with the same amount of amazement as before. "Oh, I just thought, does the rink have skates and blades that we can rent?"

"Yeah! Why?"
Harley asks her, snapping back to reality. Elijah takes a sharp turn making the car shift in a weird way, but he was more than used to it.
"We just don't have any with us- woah!" She was surprised by the sharp turn as she fell to one side of her seat. She quickly sat up again.

Looking back with a smile,
"You okay?"
Elijah says laughing as they pull up to the rink.
"I'm paying!!"
Harley says bluntly as she gets out of the car, opening the door for Penelope.
"What!?! No! I'm paying!"
Elijah says rushing over to Penelope about to open her door before Harley did.
