Kono nodded. "These 'jokes' are quite strange. You say things you don't mean and others still understand?"

@Simon-Says

Gemini nodded in response. "Yep, pretty much. It's part of human culture."

@Fraust

"Weird… dragons are very serious. I don't believe they make jokes." Kono stared at the wall again.

@Simon-Says

"Yes, I can see that," she replied, turning around to look at him briefly before turning back to look at the ceiling

@Fraust

"Then again, most of the other treasure guarding dragons are quite old. A lot of them are fully dragons, though… they live longer than shifters."

@Simon-Says

(I'm so sorry, I had 3 shows today and I'm e x h a u s t e d)
Gemini sighed. "You should work on developing a sense of humor. And a laugh. Laughing is good for you."

@Fraust

"But why would I do this laugh considering I have no reason to?" Kono turned his eyes to Gemini.

@Simon-Says

Gemini sighed. "I don't know, you're supposed to - most people find something funny. Like how absolutely clueless you are."

@Fraust

"Why would that cause you to laugh, though?" Kono ran his fingers through his hair.

@Simon-Says

"Because it's funny," she cried exasperatedly. "Okay, I don't physically have the capability to describe humor."

@Fraust

"Alright… if you say so." Kono yawned, flicking his tail again and falling silent.

@Simon-Says

Gemini rolled her eyes. "I do, obviously," she said before becoming quiet as well.

@Fraust

"What do humans do when they're bored?" Kono asked after a minute or two.

@Simon-Says

"Um… I usually read, but I don't think you have any books here. The "most interesting" humans play sports, but I hate sports. Some people… clean? I guess? Or eat. A lot of people eat when they're bored," she explained thoughtfully.

@Fraust

"There might be books somewhere. Couldn't guarantee the language they're in, though. Never bothered to look."

@Simon-Says

Gemini shrugged. "I'm too lazy to look, though."

@Fraust

Kono sighed and transformed into a dragon. He went and stood on the coin mountain and turned his head to the right, finding some books over there and bringing them over, half shifting again on the way.

@Simon-Says

Gemini looked over, then sat up to examine the covers, opening up a few until she found one she actually wanted to read.

@Fraust

Kono didn't actually know how to read. He was a practical being, and there was no real reason he needed that particular skill. His father also never taught him.

@Simon-Says

Gemini settled down in a corner to read the book, which happened to be about a wizard school. It seemed to be interesting, she hoped there were more books.

@Fraust

Kono seemed content to just sit in silence. It was what he'd spent the majority of fifteen years doing, so he was quite used to it.

@Simon-Says

Apparently the wizard school had a dark past, Gemini discovered. There seemed to be something wrong with the 3rd floor corridor. She tipped her head thoughtfully.

@Fraust

After a bit, for lack of anything else to do, Kono started silently watching Gemini read. As he thought about it, he didn't find her unattractive.

@Simon-Says

After a few minutes, Gemini looked up. "Are you going to read? Or… I don't know. I feel bad leaving you without entertainment."

@Fraust

Kono shook his head. "I can't. My father never taught me how."

@Simon-Says

Gemini gave him a concerned look. "Seriously? Your father was a fucking idiot. I shouls teach you how to read. How the fuck do you teach someone how to read? Ok, you know what, scratch that. I'll just… um… heck."

@Fraust

"Reading is not necessary for guarding the treasure, so he didn't teach me." Kono shrugged.

@Simon-Says

Gemini tapped her fingers frantically. "Ok, I can't teach. I suck at it. I can… read to you? My parents used to do that for me."

@Fraust

"Uh… if you want to? I really don't care." Kono continued watching Gemini.

@Simon-Says

Gemini sighed, then flipped to the front of the book. "Ok, this is going to be awkward… ok, ok. 'Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number 4, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much,'" she read carefully, pausing to look up.
