(Morning)
Why me? Why do I have to be so awkward I can't even go and talk to him! Kyle groaned internally and turned his focus to whatever was playing on the TV yet he wasn't quite watching. Just letting his mind wander to whatever but it kept drawing back to that stupid, good looking guy.
He finished his iced coffee with a small frown. But then it occurred to him, one thing good about this is that he’d have an excuse to talk to that guy. He rose from his seat in the corner to throw away his empty cup.
Kyle flicked his gaze to the man as he moved and then flinched when the door opened and made him jump. He ran a hand through his hair and took a sip of his tea, sad that it was nearly empty. But at least he'd be able to go home soon.
Caleb dropped his cup in the trash can. He stayed there for a second, contemplating his options before he finally made up his mind. He walked up to the guy, something about him just intrigued Caleb. “I don’t think I’ve seen you here before.” He commented casually.
Kyle flicked his gaze up at the man and blushed a light shade of pink. He cursed violently at himself because of it, "Uh, yeah, I haven't actually been here before." He replied, shrugging a shoulder.
“I figured. I know I would’ve remembered seeing someone as distractingly adorable as you.” He hummed with a small smile. He couldn’t help it, this guy was seriously cute.
Kyle's turned even redder and he looked down at his lap. He bit his lip to stop himself from smiling too much, "Do you- Do you want to sit?" He asked quietly.
“I’d love to” he replied quickly. Caleb pulled out the chair opposite from him and sat down. He honestly hadn’t expected it to go this well.
Kyle looked back up at him, "So, out of everyone in here, why'd you choose to talk to me Mr Mysterious?" He asked, cocking his head to the side a little.
“Ooh Mr. Mysterious I like that. And like I said before, you’re distractingly adorable. Sooo I decided I might as well try to talk to you.” He replied calmly, meeting his gaze evenly.
Kyle swallowed and rubbed at his neck, "D-Distractedly adorable?" He was a naturally nervous guy but something about the one in front of him made him even more flustered then normal.
“Yup. See, there you go again.” He smiled slightly, and set his chin down in his hand. He just quietly watched him, not in a creepy way, just observing curiously.
Kyle opened his mouth to speak but closed it shortly after, "I-I'm not adorable…" He protested quietly but immediately regretted it.
“Well I’d definitely have to disagree with you there. Honestly you’re the most adorably handsome guy I’ve seen in a long time.” He replied, dragging out the ‘o’ in ‘long’ for a few seconds.
Kyle rolled his eyes, "That doesn't make any sense. How can someone be handsome and adorable at the same time?"
He actually thought about it for a second, tilting his head to the side. In the end he just replied with “because I said so.”
Kyle sighed and just nodded, "Whatever you say Mr Mysterious. Whatever you say."
“Well thank you” he purred. “Anyway, what’s your name?” He asked curiously, realizing he hadn’t even asked for this guy’s name.
"Kyle Rurrow," He replied, giving him a small smile, "And yours might be?" He leaned forward and rested his arms on the table.
“The name’s Caleb Willis. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Kyle.” He replied, his eyes quickly moving towards the door when it opened. ‘Just a normal customer’ he reassured himself.
Kyle followed his gaze to the door and he frowned a little, "You okay, Caleb?" He looked somewhat paranoid that something was going to happen but Kyle didn't blame him.
“Yup. Just old habits that refuse to die I guess. I mean, I still use them in my job so they have their uses.” He replied calmly, shifting his gaze back to Kyle. “Then again, it’d do everyone in the city a little bit of good to be paranoid.”
Kyle nodded slowly in understanding, "Yeah, you're right. What's your job?" He asked, tilting his head to the side a little.
“Well officially I work for a small security company. People hire us if they want something or someone protected. It’s pretty exciting work actually.” He paused, “oh and sometimes I teach self-defense classes, just for fun.”
"Sounds like fun," Kyle replied with a bright smile, "What type of self defense? Like, any particular style or just self defense in general?"
“It depends really. I know a bunch of different styles so I like to switch it up.” He hummed in reply. He honestly really enjoyed talking about his work.
"Maybe you could teach me sometime. I-If you wanted to… that is." Kyle blushed in embarrassment and bit his lip. And he was back to being the flustered guy he was.
