Caleb let out a long sigh, he didn’t want to push Kyle but he also wanted to make sure he wasn’t in any trouble.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Look, it's no big deal, okay?" Kyle offered Caleb a small, but still slightly strained smile, "You don't have to worry."

For once he just stayed quiet, staring at the ground, a small frown on his face. The silence ended “it’s never ‘no big deal’”

@ElderGod-Carrots

"I-I'll be fine, Caleb." He wished he actually believed what he was saying.

“You really think I’m just going to believe that Kyle? Plus, you stuttered which makes it even less believable.” He looked at him “Why are they going after you?”

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Look, I don't have the best past, which led to the bullying in high-school and that continued over. I don't even know why they do it most days, okay?"

“Fine…” he mumbled, falling silent. He sighed, of course his silence wouldn’t last. “I get it, it’s not fun talking about it…”

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Yeah, it's not," Kyle sighed, "Why can't everything in life just be simple?"

“Beats me. I wish it was though. Everything’s so complicated nowadays. On the bright side there’s less homophobes, or should I say, they’re not legally allowed to kill us anymore.”

@ElderGod-Carrots

"That's true. If only they didn't exist at all. Like, seriously, what's so bad about two people of the same gender liking each other? It's not hurting you so why comment about it?"

“That’s what I’ve been saying for OH SO LONG! Like, butt out of my life please! It’s as if they think their comment is gonna make me suddenly be like ‘oh yeah guys totally aren’t hot. My bad’”

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle chuckled at the last comment and nodded, "Some people are too stupid to understand that."

“Exactly.” He smiled, “well random side note, we’ll be there soon.” He commented as they walked past an alley.

@ElderGod-Carrots

As they walked past the alley, a large man with a gun jumped out in front of them, "Move and I'll shoot."

Caleb stopped, stepping slightly in front of Kyle. “Don’t do anything dumb” Caleb said, the words a barely detectable whisper, loud enough for only Kyle to hear. What he meant was ‘don’t use your powers’.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"I wasn't gonna." Kyle replied equally quietly. He took the smallest step backwards.
"Take out phones, values, anything you have on you that might be worth something, hurry up."

She could almost feel the city breathing, pulses of electricity each from their own source. Through this system she could sense most of what was happening, grabbing multiple security cameras at once. Everything seemed to be calm…scratch that, mugging on 5th street. She chuckled, the sound full of exhaustion, “You really keep me on my toes, don’t you Anesia?” With that, the Hero made her way into the dimly lit streets, time to do what she did best.

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you pal.” Caleb shrugged, “plus you really think two college students have anything of value?”

@ElderGod-Carrots

"You might have phones? Come on, empty your pockets," The man pointed the gun towards Kyle, "Hurry or he dies."

Caleb gave a defiant snarl, he knew there wasn’t necessarily anything he could do right now. ‘Well we could…’ the thought was cut off by someone clearing their throat. Perched on top of a lamppost was Electrica. “Hiya! I’m gonna have to ask you to leave these people alone, sir.”

@ElderGod-Carrots

The man looked up at Electrica and glared, "Sorry, not gonna happen."

“Well that’s unfortunate.” You could just see her frown before the lamp went out with a brief flash of light, casting the street into darkness.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The man stumbled back and cursed, "Fine! Fine I'll go!"

“Too late for that buddy.” She was right in front of Kyle and Caleb, she’d barely made a sound.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Kyle jumped a little at the sound of her voice suddenly so close. The man, kept walking backwards away from her, "What are you gonna do?"

She didn’t respond. Bolts of electricity shot through the air, attempting to wrap around the guy. They were harmless enough, only meant to restrain people.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The man tried to avoid the grip of the electricity, but ended up failing. He still struggled in the hold og the electricity, though.

“You’ve lost, now could you please make my job a lot easier and just stop fighting back.” She sounded bored, or maybe tired.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The man snarled and struggled a little more before ultimately giving up, "Why don't you just get a different job if this one's too hard."

“That’s simple, this city needs someone to protect it from people like you. Now come on, lets get you to the police station.”

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Thanks, Electrica," Kyle spoke up, "We appreciate it."
