Killian nodded. He stood, and waited for her to get back. He didn't quite know what to do. He switched to the news channel to watch the coverage of the robbery.

Jade sped over to the bank before turning down the blind alley next to it. She pulled out the small metal bug and placed it on the nearest security wire for the bank and watched the cameras from inside her helmet. Three men… Low to no powers… Machine guns could be a problem if I'm not careful. At least ten hostages… They came when it was slow… Interesting. she gave a small hum as she assessed the situation before sneaking inside.

Killian watched the news, frowning a little. He hoped Jade would be alright. He bit his lip a little bit.

Taking a calming breath, Jade dropped to the floor of the bank from the vents. ”You know; if you got a real job, it’d be a lot easier to make a withdrawal.” she announced herself before ducking behind a pillar to avoid the welcome bullets.

Killian sighed softly, drumming his fingers.

Once the bullets stopped, Jade darted out and charged at the nearest gunman; quickly clocking him in the throat before relieving him of his weapon. The second thug ran up to her and grappled her from behind, pinning her arms to her sides.

Killian kept watching the news; the cameras, by now, had footage of the inside.

Jade struggled for a moment as the taller man lifted her off the ground. She knew how to get out of this hold… She had done it a hundred times… so why couldn't she move to get free this time?

Killian frowned as he watched the camera feed, hands tapping a rhythm.

I made this upgrade for this kind of situation… All I have to do is make the connection and… Jade quickly snapped her fingers, triggering a quick low-level electric current to race through her suit, stunning her current assailant. Finally able to free herself, she took a few shaky breaths to calm down. ”Huh. That worked well.” she smiled under her mask before looking at the final opponent.

Killian watched quietly, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw that she was alright. He fidgeted for a moment.

The final guy was holding a gun to a hostage's head. ”Back off, freak or I’ll pull the trigger.” he warned.

Jade could see the safety on the gun was off… and the banker was terrified. She sighed and took a couple of steps back. ”That is no way to treat a lady.”

”Shut up and open the safe, freak.” he ordered.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian narrowed his eyes, wondering if he could do anything. No. He needed to wait.

group

”I know you. You’re that super-smart chick.” he smirked. ”So you should have no problem opening that safe.”

Jade nodded. ”You’re right. I am smart.” she said calmly. ”But that is actually a reason why I won’t do that. Another reason is that I hate when people think they can treat others like that.” she clenched her fists. ”But the big reason why I won't; your gun is out of bullets.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian let out a soft chuckle at Jade's words, but didn't remove his attention from the screen.

Jade smirked under her mask as the thug pulled the trigger on the empty gun, confirming that she was right and finally realizing the trouble he was in. He looked up from the gun and was immediately greeted by Jade’s fist in his face. The heroine stood calmly as he fell unconscious with a bloody nose before helping the banker up.

Killian smiled a little as he watched, relaxing now. Good. She's safe. He thought, running a hand through his hair.

group

”Thank you, Ma’am. Thank you.” the banker almost wept.

”It’s alright. You're safe now.” Jade assured the shaken woman, remembering all too well what she was feeling. ”The police should be here soon to take care of these three.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian relaxed, letting out a breath.

The lady nodded still shaken and walked over to an empty chair. Jade suddenly lurched forward and dropped to a knee as the sound of a shot echoed through the bank. The thug that she had punched in the throat had pulled out a small handheld gun and fired it.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian's eyes widened, and he sat up. Had Jade been shot? He didn't know.

group

Jade slowly stood back up, shaking in pain from the bullet taking a small chunk out of her lower leg. ”Talk about a cheap shot.” she hissed through clenched teeth as she turned to the gunman.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian inhaled, and wished he had cast a protection spell on her before she left.

group

Jade was debating attacking the man again and knocking him out for at least a week when the authorities finally arrived. She let out a soft sigh and started to leave, hiding as much of her limp as possible, as the officers started to take care of the scene.

”Hold it.” a familiar officer called out.

”Hello, officer Park.” Jade replied tiredly.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian bit his lip, pacing a little.

group

”I’ll save you asking me questions about what happened. I just sent you my ”report” of the instance.” Jade said deceptively calm.

”Any chance there's a name for me to fill in for you this time?” Park asked a little irritated.

Jade’s smirk was audible as she gave the quick command to call her bike. ”Brainwave.” she answered before driving off.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian stood, waiting for her to get home. He sighed.

group

It took a bit longer for her to get home than it did for her to get to the bank but she attributed that to her injury. She climbed back through her window and into her room. ”Hi, honey. I’m home.” she joked, taking off her helmet.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Killian laughed, peeking into her room. "Did you have a good day at work?" he asked teasingly, smiling.

group

”Got shot in the leg. So it could have been worse.” she chuckled, getting to her feet. ”I’m probably going to have to stitch it up a little.” Jade said heading to the bathroom.
