Colton shrugged, "I feel like I should get you back to school."

"What about you?" Paige asked, slinging her backpack over her shoulder.
“I have…” Colton’s jaw clenched, “Doesn’t matter…”
Paige recoiled slightly. She had to choose her next words carefully. "Well… since I already left… what's the point in going back…?"
Colton raised an eyebrow, “I thought you were supposed to be a goody two shoes?”
"Not a goody two shoes. Just…" She couldn't come up with a word. "Curious, I guess." She didn't make eye contact.
“Curious about what, exactly?” Colton smirked and took a step closer to her.
"I don't know," she replied quietly, looking at her shoes. "People like you, I guess."
Colton sighed, "Listen, Paige, you stay away from people like me. You're lucky I've been so nice so far but others… they're not. So keep away."
"Why are you being so nice to me?" she asked, looking up.
"Am I not allowed to be nice to someone once in a while because of how the world sees me?" Colton frowned a little.
"No, no! I… I was just wondering…" Paige bit her lip. Had she offended him?
“Well stop wondering. Come on.” Colton sighed and headed back to the bike.
Paige hesitantly followed. She put her helmet and got on slowly.
Colton climbed one and started the bike. Once he knew Paige was there, he set off.
Paige held onto him, but her grip wasn't as tight as before. She was getting used to it.
Colton does up, taking the corners a little harsher then before. He want mad at her, but at himself.
When Colton whipped around a sharp corner, Paige gasped and tensed.
Colton chuckled a little, "Scared?"
Paige didn't say anything, but she tightened her grip slightly, confirming his observation.
Colton just laughed a little louder. He slowed down just slightly.
She was glad that he slowed down and she watched the winding roads progress.
Eventually they made it back to the school and he pulled up into the student car, "There you are."
Paige got off. Suddenly, her backpack weighed 10 tons on her shoulders. "Are you coming?" It was a stupid question.
Colton frowned a little, "Do you want me too?"
"Uh… no?" she squeaked.
"You sure about that?" He raised an eyebrow.
"M-Maybe?" she stammered. Why was she acting this way?
Colton smirked and put the bike in park, "I'll take that as a yes."
"You don't have to…" she whispered shyly.
