Nathalie checked the time. She should be giving Mr. Manchester his report! She scrambled around to grab papers that were scattered across her desk and hurried up to her boss's room. She knocked on the door.
The Man and His Assistant
Jace and Henry both looked up. "Come in."
Nathalie entered. "I'm sorry, sir, I forgot to deliver your daily report," she said, hastily approaching his desk to give him the papers.
"Perfectly all right, Nathalie. We're all stressed." He paused. "Say, Nathalie. Are you wanting a holiday?"
"Perfectly all right, Nathalie. We're all stressed." He paused. "Say, Nathalie. Are you wanting a holiday?"
Nathalie blinked, almost like she didn't know what a holiday was. "Uh… Sure, sir?"
(Rena?)
(sorry, I'm busy. I can't always reply straight away)
"Would you like to join Jace and myself on our vacation?"
(Okay, that's fine! ;D You just disappeared. (Btw, if I ever just disappear off the sight around this time, I probably fell asleep.)
Nathalie looked from Henry to Jace and back. "Uh, that would be nice, sir…"
"Good. Because an extra ticket was accidentally ordered."
Nathalie blushed and tried to think back if she ordered the tickets or not.
"So, would you like to join us?"
"If it's not a problem, sir…" she trailed off, not wanting to be a burden, but secretly hoping to go.
"No, don't be ridiculous. Jace doesn't mind." Jace opened his mouth to say something something, but stopped when Henry shot him a look.
"Oh. Um… thank you, sir. I'm sorry about the tickets," she said.
"Why are you sorry? You didn't order them. I did. I must have had a sticky key."
Nathalie nodded slowly. “I… I emailed you the monthly bill report.”
"Good news or bad?"
“Good,” she said with a nod. Her voice sounded tired.
"Well, you better go home and pack," Henry said. "So should we."
Nathalie nodded, taking it as her dismissal. She left and but went back to her desk first. There was a few things she had to wrap up if she was going on vacation!
(do you want to do a time skip?
If so, tell me where)
(Probably they’re getting ready to leave, maybe in the foyer of Henry’s house.)
"Bags?" Henry asked.
"Check." Jace answered.
"Tickets?"
"Check."
"Brain?"
"Che-hey!"
Nathalie appeared, bringing only a small suitcase and a purse with her.
"That's are you're bringing?" Henry asked. "We're gone for 3 weeks."
"I am aware, sir. I have enough," she replied steadily. "Can I help you carry anything?"
"Nope," Henry replied, bags under arms.
"Are… Are you sure?" she replied skeptically. He had quite an armful of baggage.
Henry nodded and smiled. He started walking towards the car.
