The Prince and The Side (0/0) (Gay!) (CLOSED!)

So to sort of explain what I want. I want a soft gay roleplay. Evan is an actor in the play Cinderella, playing as the prince, but he ends up falling in love with one of the side characters, whether that be one of the mice or whatever. It'll take place in a highschool. Maybe they have classes together as well!

Must have a character link or something. I also have a template if need be.
Must provide a sample of writing

Here is my writing sample:

It was dark. And cold. Somehow in the caves deep bellow the city there was a wind that whipped around Drayce making him shiver, the lack of clothes exposing him to the elements making it worse. The chains that kept him in place rubbed against the open wounds, red and raw and excruciatingly painful. In his whole life time the Walker never thought I’d end up in a predicament such as this, chained down in a cave waiting his fate. The guards came and went on a cycle. Every three hours someone knew would come. Someone would come and whip or cut up. He’d lost count of the hours. In fact it could have been days he’d been down here. Time had no power here. All that was left was the darkness that encompassed him, and the thought of sleep so deep he wouldn’t feel any pain.

work on grammar but besides that it looks great! Now then do you need a character template? If ypu'd like to upload one of your own or provide just a link then that's fine as well. Oh! And make sure to look over Evan!

Looks: Gray has light brown hair, leaning towards the ginger side. It's curly, falls in front of his face a lot of the time and he doesn't really care. Pale skin, pink under tones. Has freckles all over his skin with a heavy concentration over his cheeks. Has a natural blush to his face. He has soft features though still a strong jawline - small button nose, full lips - tends to look like he's pouting a lot of the time. He has one blue eye (his right) and one green eye (his left). Stands around 6'1. Not muscular per say but not skinny. Wears a lot of sweaters generally with paint splatters all over them. Black jeans and converse. Quite a few scars which he keeps covered easily as most are on his back
Personality: He's a very closed off person when you meet him. Doesn't talk a lot but generally doesn't need to. Can come off as cold. When you get to know him, he's a very kind and caring person, always putting other in front of himself. Major trust issues. Over protective to where it can become a problem. Basically a forest spirit at heart.
Likes: flowers, the rain, the smell of pine trees and vanilla, snow, winter, forests
Dislikes: fire, blood, baths, the heat, the colour purple, alcohol and cigarettes.
Hobbies: painting and drawing (is very good at it) singing
Other: Has a strong British accent. Doesn't have a dad and his mum is abusive (though puts up the act that she is a very nice and sweet person to anyone but Gray. She is also homophobic which is one of the reasons why she's abusive towards him). Even though he could easily fight back she's convinced him he deserves it and he takes it. Closeted gay/switch.

I am sooo sorry I got really busy doing yard work today. We're trying to get a garden started,again, so. Yeah.

So. This boyo. One. Evans mom has already just pre-adopted him as another son. She's got like 10 kids what's one more. They're all adopted. Like as we get into this, if he just shows up at her door one night asking to stay, she'll set him up probably in Evans room,because she trusts her kids and supports healthy sexual and romantic relationships so as long as things are quiet it's fine. And two. He's gonna hate Evans twin sister Evelyn. Like I can already tell. Anyways. Uhh I'll put up a starter.

Evan walked into what they called the Black Box since all the walls were black. He was always a little bit late due to his sister,and immediately headed into the circle as they practiced some exercises, right next to Grayson. Today they were getting assigned roles and going to start memorizing lines. Now, Evan was a bit of a fem boy. Today he wore a baby blue t-shirt, and a white skirt with black polka dots and flowers on it, and converse. He also wore light makeup to match. If anyone said anything,his sister was quick to lay punches. He danced and laughed along, able to get along with just about anyone, especially the girls,but he was very obviously gay, and everyone knew it. He didn't care.

Even though Grayson did in fact enjoy drama, he more enjoyed the behind the scenes work to the actual performance part of it. But for some known reason, he'd been told he was getting a part in the play. He just hoped it was a small part. Gray was one of those people that you wouldn't assume would be into the creative arts, but he was which was why he was here. He looked the stereotypical straight boy, but that was far from the truth. Not that he could tell anyone. The last time it did it resulted in a life long set of abuse from his mother. Honestly? He wished he could be more himself, more like Evan. The two had never exactly been friends but Gray knew who he was and was slightly jealous how free he got to be with himself, not that he could ever do that. He joined in on the activities, though didn't talk to anyone unless required.

After their exercises , the teacher handed out packets. "Evan. You're Prince Charming. Ella. You're Cinderella!" Names went around and she looked at Grayson. "Grayson. You're one of the mice." (It's not Gus Gus, the fat and short one but the tall and skinny one. I can't remember his name) She clapped her hands together. "Alright start memorizing lines then! Read to a wall or to a partner! We'll get into costuming later, before anyone asks. I want you all to focus on the work before the play!" Evan nodded. He was sad that he had to kiss a girl but a small price to pay for a good performance. So he began to read quietly to himself.

Gray tried not to audibly groan. Why? Couldn't he have been the kings messenger? But no, he had to play the mouse. Or better yet, why couldn't he have just been a stage hand or set design or done lighting or any of the billion other things they had to do that didn't involve performing? He shook his head, mumbling to himself as he sat against the near by wall and started to read through the lines.

Evan looked over at Grayson, and gave a soft smile and a little wave. He highlighted his lines then went over to Ella so they could practice together a bit. Today would be a pretty boring day. Evan found Grayson extremely interesting. If he was a book he'd be a mystery novel. And Evan would be one of poetry. Sometimes Evan found himself glancing over at him. Ella tried to ask him why Evan kept looking away, but he shrugged it off and went right back into his lines.

Grayson blinked a couple times when Evan gave him the smile and the wave and returned it with a small nod of his own. He could see him glancing out the corner of his eyes and blushed very lightly. He'd been practically invisible most of his high-school years and had no clue why Evan, out of all people, would even be looking or paying attention to him. He sighed, looking back down at his script.

Club ended at 4:30 as always, and Evan friendly as always talked and jostled around with the others,when he saw Grayson lagging behind the group. He slowly made his way to the back and walked beside him, dark blue bag slung over his shoulder, a smile on his face. "You're going to make a great Jaq! I can help you with makeup and such if you'd like. Oh and quick tip, standing and talking to a wall really helps. Crazy sounding I know but hey, if it works it works right?" His charming smile and eyes lit up like the fourth of July could work its way into anyone's heart, as far as he knew anyways. He was absolutely ecastic about all of this,he always was. Some thought Evan had some deep secret.

Grayson adjusted the bag on his back with a small shrug and an awkward cough, "Uh right yeah, thanks for the tip mate." His accent was strong as he spoke. Gray knew wasn't the best at talking to people, mainly because he never had to unless forced and if he spoke at home around his mum then it never ended well so he'd fallen into the habit of just… not speaking, "Ah, congrats on gettin' cast as the prince."

"Oh ah thanks. I'd honestly rather be Cinderella, if nothing else to be killer in that dress. And playing around with the makeup would be fantastic." He nodded. "Plus I have to kiss Ella. And I think she has a boyfriend so it sucks on three different ends." He shrugs a bit. "Oh well. A small price to pay for a good performance. So then. What are you most excited for to do in the play? I see you helping with the backdrops props and lighting mostly."

"Probably. I prefer being in the background then actually performing.." Gray rubbed at the back of his neck, "Guess Miss thought otherwise and wanted me in the play this time. What are you looking forward to?" He was honestly surprised how well he was doing, probably his longest conversation in a while.

"Hm? Oh. I don't really know. I'd normally say makeup but the looks are so rough and rugged, I like doing more bruise makeup and such. Oh! Getting the costume together that's always fun. I don't mind playing the prince but honestly this isn't my type of play. At least it isn't Shrek The Musicale like last year." He shuddered. He had to play pinnochio in that one and hated every second of it, but he felt even worse for Fionna and Shrek. He helped with a lot of the makeup on that one.

A hint of a smile tugged at Gray's lips. He hadn't been in that play, but had spent hours designing and making the set pieces for that. Normally it would have been relaxing but the amount of stuff that had to be down stressed him out, "That is true. Why we decided to put on Shrek is beyond me."

"I think our teacher likes to torture and embarass us. I'm so glad I didn't get the lead on that. All those pillows and that paint… could've died of heat exhaustion up there. And all that singing too. I love musicals don't get me wrong, but if I was Shrek I would've stuffed Donkey's head up a beehive and left it at that." Evan said this with a firm nod, encouraging Grayson's smile to grow. He hoped that this was the start of a new friendship.
