Grayson snorted, “What do you mean strange? You’re not a wizard are you?” He joked, rolling onto his side with a wince.
The Prince and The Side (0/0) (Gay!) (CLOSED!)
"No. Sometimes I wish I was. Just say a spell and boom! Make up is done!" He chuckled and looked down, and then handed Greyson another pillow. "Here."
Gray smiled softly, “Thank you.” He gladly took the pillow and placed it under his head, “And thank you for… giving me a place to stay tonight. Feels nice to not be beat up in your sleep.”
"Believe it or not I know how that feels. But you're welcome." He sighed and looked down at Grayson. The moonlight made Evans and Grey's eyes light up, and Evan caught himself staring. "…so. Strange comment. But. You have the prettiest eyes."
Gray blinked, blushed and looking away, "I uh, thank you," His smile grew a fraction, "It's um… one of the things I dislike since they're you know, mismatched and all." He looked back, "Your eyes are pretty, too."
"Oh no mismatched eyes are wonderful. Funfact. It was said that people who have different colored eyes, way back when the Greek gods were heavily praised and what not. They can like see the underworld and the heavens. They have special powers and foresight. Some are even said to be able to see the future. It's all legend of course but I still think that it's pretty cool. And thank you. Mine are just a boring blue. Yours are interesting. You, Grey, are interesting."
"Blue isn't boring. They're the prettiest to paint at least. All the different shades and undertones and they stand out on the piece, especially against certain skin tones as well and…" He trailed off, "Sorry, you probably don't care."
Evan was listening intently. "As a writer and actor I have an eye for detail as well. And I do care. I love just listening to people ramble about their passions." He looked over Grey's face in the moonlight. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable but are you sure you don't want to come up with me in the bed? I don't bite. I won't even touch you except maybe our backs."
Gray nodded a little, "Yeah I'm sure. I'd prefer to stay down here for now. Thanks for the offer though." He rolled onto his stomach, hugging his pillow, "I'd probably take up most of the bed anyway."
"I'm skinny, it's alright. Just want to give you better than what you had. Need anything? Another pillow, extra blankets?" He said this all with a tint of worry to his voice.
Gray smiled a little at the worry, but he still shook his head, "Evan, I'm okay, really. I don't need anything else. You've done enough for me as it is."
He nodded. "Alright. I just know how it is. I hate to see others go through some of the things I've had to. I can tell you this though. You'll rise above. No matter what."
"Yeah, maybe.. some of us don't get lucky in life. You get a stroke of good luck and then you're back in the dumps again," He sighed softly, "We'll see what happens."
"Well. You didn't just get a stroke of luck you just got a whole damn painting of it. You're in probably the best hands anyone could ever be in. Promise."
"Pinky promise?" Gray knew it was stupid, but he was still a child at heart. He held out his pinky finger.
Evan smiled and locked fingers with Greyson, and lifted his hand, kissing it softly. "What better way to seal such a powerful promise than with a kiss hm?" He said with a slight chuckle.
Greyson blushed, averting his eyes in an attempt to ignore it, "I feel like you're making stuff up now because I've never had that happen before."
"I am not! People seal stuff with kisses in books all the time!" He said this with a bit of huff to his voice. "At least I didn't kiss you on the lips." (Btw I sorta want this to be a slow burn roleplay)
(Gotcha)
"What books have you been reading where people just randomly kiss each other?" Grey raised a brow, crossing his arms over his chest and raising a brow, "Because I've never heard of that before."
"I read a lot of fantasy. Kings and Queens and what not. Way back in the royalty times, people would kiss eachother on the hand as a greeting, to make ladies blush, or a sign of respect for the ruling power, and other such things. Also to seal things. Promises and secrets."
“Well that’s been in none of the books I’ve read. Then again I don’t read as much as I’d like so that could be the problem there.”
"Well. Maybe you outta change that." He said with a smile, while looking down at the boy in the sleeping bag, blonde hair falling in his face.
Grey smiled back, hugging his pillow, "Maybe. I don't have any good books to read though so any recommendations would be helpful."
Evan looked at his bookshelf in the dark, the shelves heavy and some even dipping just a bit from the weight of his many books. "Take your pick Grey." He said with a soft smile, looking back down.
"Damn.." He had to squint to see the shelf but he could still see how many books there was, "That's a lot. I'll have to look in the morning."
He nods and yawns a bit, hugging his pillow. "Speaking of morning we outta get some sleep. Busy day tomorrow."
“Probably a good idea,” He rolled into his stomach, “Goodnight Evan.”
"Goodnight Grey." He turned into his other side and drifted off to sleep. He was woken up by his mother knocking on the door. "WAKE UP WAKE UP! BREAKFAST IS READY!" Crystal went down the hall pounding on doors. Evan sighs as he gets up, stretches, and carefully steps over Greyson. There was a lot of bangs and screams as arguments exploded over who went to the bathroom and if someone's shirt got stolen by another sibling.
Grey jumped at the loud noise and the knocking, momentarily forgetting where he was and thought it was his mother. He bolted up right in panic before he calmed down when he remembered he at Evan's.
Evan was standing there in a different pair of boxers, holding up a skirt, trying to decide what to wear. "Get downstairs for breakfast before it's gone."
