(ok yall I think I'm going to bed. I'll try to wake up early tomorrow in case one of yall decides to rp while im asleep)
The Royal Lie // Closed // Stalkers welcome
Kipp heard the noise of the crowd from his kitchen. After narrowly avoiding dropping flour everywhere, he made his way to the door and peered out. Finally, his curiosity got the better of him and he stepped out into the square. One of his regulars brushed past and he grabbed his arm. "What is going on?"
"There's a call for a rebellion," They said quickly before pulling away and disappearing in the crowd.
Kipp gasped. Spotting a break in the flow of people, he pushed his way there. Nearby sat Hyde and he went and stood awkwardly nearby.
Hyde tried not to freak out, and answered as calmly as he could. He wasn't good at conversations like these. "Why do you want to know?" He decided on asking.
Petra tilted her head slightly. "Because I want in." She said, now completely sure that she was right. "You'll need someone like me if you plan on sneaking into the castle."
(Just to make sure everyone remembers, Petra's wearing a mask.)
Hyde relaxed and stood up, smiling now at the masked woman. "Well, in that case. I'm Hyde Wexler, the other guy that was with me is my brother Jekyll. He's the one you need to talk to, if you want to help." He gestured towards the alleyway Jekyll had walked in. "He's talking to another recruit right now, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I sent you his way." He now turned to make eye contact with Kipp, smiling kindly. "I'm assuming you're interested too?"
Andy raised an eyebrow, on closer inspection the man didn't seem like that much of a threat.
"Jekyll, huh…" she muttered mostly to herself. Her eyes flicked back to the man, her gaze suddenly a lot less steely.
"My name is Andrea Brooks. You have my attention, now tell me about the poster. I'm assuming it's yours, right?"
"Mine and my brother's," Jekyll admitted. "The rebellion has a plan to take down the king, to stop his cruelty. And well, we need more numbers if that's going to ever work." Jekyll was shockingly serious now, unlike his usual self. But serious matters needed serious handling.
Petra nodded and headed towards the alleyway Hyde had had pointed out. She leaned against the stone wall just outside the alley, and glanced inside. She could see two people talking, but couldn't hear them. Just as well. She thought. He'll probably tell me whatever he's telling her.
Jekyll lost his serious attitude and gained another smirk. He looked past Andrea's should and talked loudly. "Would you like to join our conversation, or would you like to keep attempting to eavesdrop?"
Petra smirked under her mask. She pushed off of the wall and walked further into the alley. "Sorry to barge in, Jekyll." She said. "Just wanted to let you know that I'm in on this whole rebellion thing."
Kipp nodded at Hyde's question. "I guess so, I'm not the best with all of this stuff, but I'm up for it and that's got to count for something." He glanced back at the panicked crowd and bit his lower lip. "Can I just sit here with you? I can't get back through there cause I'm, y'know, really short."
"No problem. Now, as I was saying." Jekyll smiled wide and gestured like he was presenting something. "We're going to take down the king, are you two up to the challenge?"
"Would I be here if I wasn't?" Petra put her hand on her hip. "I am so ready for this." She held out her other hand for a hand shake. "Let's do this."
Jekyll laughed and walked past both girls to the entrance of the alley. "Then meet me and my brother at the tree you found us at. Tonight, midnight." He shot the girls another smirk and laughed joyously as he headed back to his brother.
"I'll see you there." Petra walked off in the opposite direction, passing images different groups of bandits and such had left on the walls.
(lol this might be tricky bc I think I'm in a different timezone to you guys)
Andrea's eyes narrowed at Jekyll as he sauntered off, the other woman that had briefly joined them was gone too. Andrea rested her head against the stone wall, considering the aspects of her life that were going to change. "I should probably tell dad…" she murmured to herself. With an adventure in mind, Andrea pushed herself off the wall and left the alley.
(I'm back )
(How do I start to get into the rp? :P)
(Idk…maybe have your character interact with another or something…?)
(Jekyll and Hyde are both back under the tree now, if that helps)
(i can do somthing with that)
(Gotta go. See y'all tomorrow!)
Braden would be under another tree with his little sister Lily. Brayden would see Jekyll and Hyde and wonder what they'd be doing there. He'd wake up Lily and say " Lily…Its time to go home.." Lily would get up and say " Ok!" and wisper somthing to him and braden would smile and say "Yes thay wanted us today.." Brayden and Lily sarted walking toward the Castle and once they were at the gate they would look around thinking no one would see them knock on the castle gates in a type of way and the gates would open and they would walk in not knowing Jekyll and Hyde were there.
Andrea had since walked to her father's shop. It sold some of the best weapons around, each handcrafted meticulously by Mr Bayard Brooks - her father. He was quite possibly the most important person in Andrea's life. Bayard was hard working and incredibly kind, yet the reign of King Jerrod had created problems for the man's livelihood. Taxes unlike any other were put on each weapon he sold, sending the family into a simpler lifestyle. Despite this, Bayard remained jovial during difficult times, only further fuelling Andrea's hatred for their monarch.
"Hey Dad," Andrea said, entering the shop.
"Andy," the man greeted. He was at the counter, polishing a blade that he had been working on.
"Some guys are recruiting people for a rebellion, I think I might join em."
"Sweetums… A rebellion…?"
"You're not going to talk me out of it!"
Bayard sighed, "I know, you're just like your mother." He smiled sadly, "If you're gonna fight, at least take a decent weapon with ya."
Bayard got up and closed the shop, bringing Andrea with him into the back room where he lifted a floorboard. "This is the best bow I've ever made," he said, producing an intricately carved bow and a fully stocked quiver. "It's for you."
Andrea was at a loss for words. She took it gingerly, running her fingers over its detailing. "Thank you. One day, the king will be dead. I swear that to you."
"I love you, sweetums."
"I love you too, dad. Oh! Can you tell Rosalind that I won't be at work for who knows how long?"
Bayard chuckled, agreeing to her request.
The father and his daughter shared a tight hug, and with that, Andrea stored the bow and quiver into an inconspicuous bag before leaving the shop to collect her cloak and other necessary supplies from her house as she waited for midnight.
Hyde had watched the whole time, a plan forming in his head. He smacked Jekyll over the back of the, effectively waking him up from his impromptu nap.
“Ow! What the hell, Hyde?!” His brother protested loudly. Hyde ignored his complaints, simply pointing at the two who were now on the other side of the castle’s gates.
“I think I found us a way in, brother.” Hyde said casually. Jekyll squinted in the castle gates’ direction, seeing the ones walking up the long winding road to the palace.
“Okay… who are they?” He asked impatiently. Hyde raised an eyebrow at his twin, bemused.
“Why do you assume I know?” Hyde wondered inquisitively. Jekyll snorted.
“Please, you’ve been researching everything about the royal family for this quest. If anyone was important enough to go in there, you’d know who it is.” He announced with surety. Hyde nodded and turned to watch the pair again, accepting his answer.
“Bradyn and Lilly Heart. Bradyn was court jester for about a year before his parents tried to kill the princess. Obviously, they failed. Bradyn and Lilly weren’t punished for their parents crimes, but Bradyn was still relieved of his duties. No doubt he holds some grudge against the royal family. He should be willing to join us.” Hyde informed his brother, gaze never once leaving the Heart siblings as they got further away, closer to the castle. Jekyll smirked, excited for the days to come.
(That’s fine! I wrote a pretty long section too. So, we’ll probably time skip to midnight soon. Just pretend Hyde gave Kipp the details.)
Brayden would enter the casle and go to the thrown room. He'd see the king and queen and stop in his traks. "My..king…" Braden would bow. Lily would see the king run up to him and hug him and say "Whats wrong..? You look sad.." The king would try to smile and say " Be with my wife.. I need to speek to your brother.." Brayden would look in confusion. "Whats happeneing..? Whats wrong..?" The king would sigh and say " Come here my boy…I must tell you somthing…" Braden would walk up to the king and the king would tell him about the rebelion and Brayden would step back with tears in his eyes. "I-i… oh my…" Brayden would look at the Queen and say " Wheres the prinsess..? Ill keep her safe.. I know a place…" The queen would point to a room and he'd walk in seeing the princess remembering what his family did and he'd fall to the ground holding back tears.
(Oh in case y’all wanted to know, the princess is 6 and I think I’m gonna name her Jade but idk. Lemme know your opinions. Also, she might be reluctant to leave, so Bradyn may have difficulties getting her somewhere safe if you’re going for that.)
( Kk )
(Also do you want his name spelled Bradyn or Brayden. Your form says Bradyn, but you’ve been using Brayden so I thought I’d ask.)
