Paisley nodded in excitement. As Meredith started driving, she looked out the window, a smile on her face. What an eventful day it had already been, and it was just going to get better.
Meredith tried to keep her mind focused on driving but her eyes, occasionally, kept darting over to Paisley’s beaming face. I’ll try to win something at one of the games this time. … Too bad a lot of them are rigged.

”How do we do that? I'm pretty sure only the people who set them up know the trick.” She asked with an arched brow. And a couple times when I was a teenager I did try to flirt a prize or two… Never worked.

Paisley lifted her head and looked over at Meredith, a big smile on her face. Of course, love She reached her hand out to turn on the radio, music was essential for car rides in her mind.
Meredith returned the smile as she started driving again. We should be getting close. she thought, not wanting to interrupt the music. She hated driving anywhere without music playing.

Meredith chuckled, Is this your first time? … to a fair I mean. I haven't seen anyone this excited for one otherwise. The large Ferris wheel started peeking in between the buildings as they got closer.

No, this is just the biggest one I've ever been to. There was a really small one in my old town (road)… Paisley giggled at her addition to what she was explaining. Anyway, it was really small and didn't even have a Ferris wheel.
”Well, we’re going to have to fix that today.” Meredith promised, picturing the two of them practically on top of the world in the most iconic ride in every fair. You're not scared of heights, are you?

Nope! Thankfully. Paisley watched in awe as more and more of the fair came into sight. The smell of unhealthy food already started filling the car.
”Great!” Meredith grinned, very excited as she pulled into a parking spot. Ooooh… Funnel cakes! Those are the best. ”Hope you don't mind walking a bit. I'm not parking too close because otherwise, it's too hard to leave afterwards.”

"Exactly!" Paisley hopped out of the car and closed the door. She went right to Meredith and laced their fingers once again. "I'm not sure! Maybe rides?"
Meredith gladly squeezed her hand as their fingers wove together. ”Ferris wheel, then? Or should we save the best for last?” she asked looking at the fantastical craziness that made a fair so much fun.

"What if we do it first and last?" Paisley offered as they walked into the fair. She looked around, happiness filling her face, like a kid in a candy store.

Paisley's smile widened if that was even possible. She lightly pulled Meredith to the Ferris wheel, paying the person manning the ride. They stepped into the seat and sat down.
Meredith’s chuckled, letting Paisley pull her to the ride. I am never going to forget this day. she sighed as the ride started lifting them into the air.

I definitely won't either! Paisley sat right next to Meredith, very little space between the two of them. She looked out as the Ferris wheel rose, it was amazing. The view was beautiful.
Meredith placed her arm over Paisley’s shoulders, holding her closer before she realized it. She blushed fiercely but didn't remove her arm, finding the way they met in this moment felt perfect.

Paisley was happy, Meredith pulling her closer made things even better. She leaned her head on her shoulder, taking in the view. This was definitely one of the best things she has ever done.

"Yeah, that's for sure." Paisley smiled, looking out past the horizon. She had seen the cityscape out windows, but this just seemed that much better.
