Eh… not really, maybe just that little cafe on Maple Drive? Paisley relaxed a little when the teacher got to her desk. She did actually get some work done though.
The thoughts in your head //OxO//CLOSED
I love that place. It's so cute and homey. Meredith found herself staring at the clock, watching the second hand. I can pick— err… meet you outside your class.
Sounds good to mee! Paisley looked at the time again. Seven minutes… er six minutes!! She slowly wrapped up her stuff, not fast enough for the teacher to notice that she was packing up early, but it made her feel like time was going by faster.
Meredith had to hide her laugh with a cough. Don’t give me a countdown. My sports reflexes will have me at the door suspiciously fast. Her foot was already tapping in anticipation.
I can't help it… but I'm already packing up so who's the one being suspiciously fast? Paisley smiled even though she knew Meredith couldn't see her. Oh and 4 minutes left.
Meredith smiled, rolling her eyes. Eager to see me again? she teased as she started to pack up her assignment as well.
You could say that… I'm just starving though. Paisley finished packing up a minute before the bell rang. Once it did, she stood up and walked out the door, trying not to speed walk. Eyyy I'm here waiting! She smiled to herself.
Meredith smirked as she headed for the door. Can’t blame you there. … Be there in a few seconds. I'm already trying not to run. She smiled when she was halfway between the classrooms.
(bump)
(oof sorry!!)
As Paisley saw Meredith she smiled. Waving, she started walking towards her a bit.
(It's ok.)
”Hey, stranger.” Meredith teased as the distance closed between them. ”You hungry?”
"I'm starving! Let's get out of here." Paisley said as she continued walking, to get out of the building. She slowed letting Meredith walk next to her.
Meredith was easily able to keep up with Paisley’s speed. ”Maple Drive is a bit of a walk. Should I drive or do you want to?” Do you have a car?
Hahaha no, I don't have a car… so please drive. Paisley looked over to Meredith who had easily caught up to her.
No problem. Meredith smirked. I’m parked over this way. I hope you don't mind it's kinda a beat-up old four-door. she apologized.
Nah, I don't mind at all… at least you have one. Paisley smiled as they left the building, going into the parking lots. She stopped behind Meredith ever so slightly so she could lead Paisley to her car.
Yeah. Hey, if you ever need a ride anywhere, let me know… This is more reliable than a text message. Meredith laughed lightly, as she walked to her old silver Chevy. ”It doesn't look like much but it still drives good.” she assured, opening the passenger door for Paisley.
I definitely will. Paisley giggled. "Oh, it's not that bad, especially compared to what my dad drives…" She smiled and hopped in, buckling her seatbelt.
Meredith closed the door and slid over the hood to get to the driver's seat. ”Oh, yeah? What's he drive?” she wondered, starting the car.
"Some kind of old beater… I don't remember what it is specifically though." Paisley laughed a little, looking over at Meredith. She relaxed into the seat and turned her head to look out the window.
Meredith returned the smile as she pulled out onto the street. I bet it has those weird wood panels on the doors. I can never remember what type of car that is. She winced suddenly at her careless thoughts. ”Sorry. Still need to work on filtering what goes thru my head.”
Well… it's kinda true… Paisley let her head rest back on the seat. "It's all good… I bet I'll have a headache tomorrow from all this concentration."
Meredith chuckled picturing Paisley having to ride in one of those cars. ”Sorry to hear that. Is our telepathy straining for you? I haven't felt anything yet.”
"It was a bit earlier, but not really anymore." Paisley rolled down the window to let in some fresh air and so she could feel the air going through her hair.
”Huh.” Meredith let the topic drop, deciding to turn up the music slightly. So cute… she smiled with a slight blush before softly singing along with one of the softer songs by The Score.
Paisley, of course, heard that, but she didn't say anything. omg omg… Her face got a little warm, but she kept her face out the window.
Meredith turned very red at Paisley’s flustered thoughts but chose to focus on driving and sang just a bit louder.
Paisley smiled a little, hearing Meredith's singing a little better. She turned a bit so Meredith could hear her. "You have a really pretty voice! Do you normally sing?"
”Not a lot, I mean I'm not in choir or anything. I’ve never actually sung for anyone outside my family before. Mostly just in the car or at home or even if I'm alone listening to a song I love.” She admitted still blushing. Sometimes I think I'm a bit of a lisztomaniac.
Definitely, that's definitely me. Paisley laughed a little. "Well your voice is really nice, you should consider choir or just covers or even your own music!"
