When Avlynn and Edmund got home, they got to work packing. Neither of them owned any large bags, so Edmund's old leather satchel would have to do. Avlynn packed a change of clothes and some nonperishable food, then carefully tucked her precious music box between a sweater and a pair of jeans. She wasn't planning on taking any weapons, since she didn't really have any, but Edmund insisted that she bring something. The woman ended up taking a kitchen knife and a filet knife, placing them gingerly in the bag with the grim knowledge that these items could very well be used to take the life of another devotee.
Once she was done packing, Avlynn made her way over to the piano. She desperately needed to play something, get her feelings out somehow. Her fingers knew exactly where to go, and Avlynn's voice carried the melody throughout the house.
