Ava just stared at the water bottle and shook her head. "I-I'm f-fine." She said.
The Villain and the Civilian (Closed!)
"It's not poisoned. I have more class than that." Aika tossed her hair over her shoulder and twisted the cap off. "Plus, I can't exactly have you dying on me."
Ava still eyed it warily. Even if she did want it she couldn't. Not with being tied to the chair.
Aika looked down at the ropes. "Oh, yeah. Guess I'll just be pouring it into your mouth or something. Tilt your head just a bit!"
"N-No! I-I'm fine." Ava said trying to scoot the chair away.
"It's bolted down, love. Could you please drink the water?" It didn't show, she couldn't afford for it to, but she was worried. So she added a bit of her power, just enough, hopefully.
Ava stopped trting to push away. "I-I don't w-want a-any." She said even though you could hear how much she needed that water.
"Lie." Aika stated, holding out the bottle. "Just tip your head back a bit, not all the way, or you'll choke on the water."
Ava hesitated but then did what she asked.
Aika poured a bit of water into Ava's mouth. "There. Swallow, and I can give you some more."
Ava drank the water. It felt good. She opened her mouth for more.
Aika laughed quietly, pouring more water into her mouth. "Called it."
Ava drank more. How did she get this thirsty. "H-How long h-have I-I been h-here?" Ava asked.
"You were out for a bit, too be honest. I was kinda worried Nathaniel had killed you, but you woke up just as I was going to bring him in here."
"W-Whos N-Nathaniel?" She asked..
She brightened, eyes lighting up. "He's my side kick of sorts!"
"Y-You have a-a sidek-kick?" Ava asked, looking quite surprised. She had gone over surveillance footage of almost every fight Shockwave had with Siren and their was never a sidekick.
"Like I said, of sorts. He just helps me out with things like kidnapping, obviously."
Ava looked at the floor when 'kidnapping' was mentioned. "W-What even h-happened? H-How did I g-g-get here?"
"I tracked you down, and Nathaniel knocked you out. Hit you a little too hard, apparently."
Am I that easy to track? "H-How did y-you f-find me?" She asked. Does she know where I live? She could barely remember what happened but she knew she was at her office.
"Nope! I managed to get a hold of some people who knew you."
Who knows me? I barely know anyone. "Wh-Why am I-I here?" She asked. She knew that she was here because she worked for Shockwave but why did she take her?
Aika's expression darkened. "Because I'm sick of losing to that asshole."
Ava tensed up at the darkening of Sirens mood. She stared at the floor, not wanting to make eye contact with her when she was like this.
Aika shook her head, and her mood appeared to suddenly shift. "Anyway, yeah. Figured you'd be my best bet."
Me? They have so many other people in their lives. Wait. She doesn't know about them probably. I'm one of the only people she associates with Shockwave. Ava still wouldn't look at Siren.
Aika stretched languidly, and turned back to her laptop. "You hungry or anythin"?"
"N-No." She said truthfully. She wasn't hungry and she was fine other than her head hurt slightly and she was tied to a chair.
"Alright then. To work I guess." Aika flopped down in the chair. "I need info, tips, anything that can help me beat Shockwave."
