Ava nodded her head. "Yeah. Your floor is surprisingly comfy."
The Villain and the Civilian (Closed!)
She laughed, an almost musical sound. "I set you up in my spare room, if you need something more comfortable. Figured you might need a bed or something."
"God! I can't remember the last time I've slept in a bed." Ava mussed, as she pushed her glasses farther up her face.
"Why's that?" Aika asked, brows furrowing in slight concern.
"I have a lot of work. I usually just try to stay awake with coffee. I usually only sleep when I end up passing out." Ava explained.
"Well, I've got coffee too." She hefted her mug of now lukewarm death drink.
"Well now that I don't actually have any work to do I might actually try to sleep." Ava said.
"Good. It's like a really unconventional vacation." Aika joked, knocking back the rest of the contents of her cup.
Ava chuckled. "I guess."
(Crap! I forgot Ava stuttered!!!!)
((lmao
"Alright then, if you were on vacation, what would you want to do?" Aika asked as she set her mug down, the colorful fish on it visible.
Ava chuckled again. "I-I don't need a-anything." Ava said, waving her off.
"No, come on!" Aika turned the chair towards her, leaning forward to look straight down at her. "No strings, promise, we should have some fun! Like, manicures or something."
Ava stared at Siren. "I'm not th-the biggest f-fan of getting my n-nails done." Ava said. "Th-They just always s-seem to get in th-the way o-of everything."
"Okay then, how about pedicure? Or do you use your feet for science too?" Aika asked, very obviously not knowledgeable in anything science-y.
Ava laughed. "N-No. I j-just d-don't like d-doing stuff like th-that. S-Sorry." She said with a smile. Not a apologetic smile but a genuine smile.
Aika's tongue poked out as she though for a moment. "What do you do then?"
Ava sat there for a moment. "I-I don't know. I usually s-speND most o-of my time w-working or t-talking with the others. C-Cooking is f-fun."
Aika winced. "I can get you stuff for cooking, but uh…I can't help at all. I'm horrible at it."
"Your n-not good at it or y-you haven't been taught h-how to c-cook good?" She asked.
She blinked. "Uh…the last one, I guess. I'd never thought of it like that."
"I could t-teach you then." Ava offered.
"Well shit, now I gotta get some stuff to cook with." Aika said, looking excited.
Ava laughed. "Wh-What do you w-want to c-cook?" She asked sitting up.
"Uh, pasta? Some type of pasta?"
"S-Sounds good!" Ava said.
Aika grinned, pulling out a burner phone and typing quickly. "What exactly do you need? God, I'm not even sure if I have pots an pans."
"You don't h-have pots a-and pans?" Ava asked, surprised. "H-Have you even been e-eating?"
Aika gestured to the cold hot pocket on the plate. "I usually stick with frozen stuff, and I don't even eat all that much."
"What i-is that?" Ava asked.
