(lol, we seem to be at an impasse. I'm happy to go to pm, do you want me to start the thread?)
The World Walker - a reboot ((one-on-one//closed//gay))
(aight and I can)
(That'd be good, thank you!)
The morning broke, the sun creeping over the horizon and lighting up Adrien's room. It shone directly into Alex's face, causing him to shift, groan, and then cuddle into Adrien more. He didn't want to get up, ever, too content to move or do anything else apart from lie there with the human by his side. Sadly, he knew he couldn't, but he didn't move yet, letting Adrien get a few more minutes of sleep.
Adrien had managed to wedge himself halfway between Alex's chest and the bed at some point in the night, using the World Walker's as a makeshift pillow. He didn't even stir when he was shifted around, conditioned to sleep deeply by years of chronic pain and week-long stays at the hospital.
Alex lightly dragged his fingers up and down Adrien's side, admiring the gentle curve of his body as he did so. It was so peaceful, serine. A type of content the Walker had never really had in his life before. If only it could stay like this. But, the universe was a bastard and if he could fight it, he would.
Adrien shivered beneath the touch, making a soft sound as he curled against Alex's chest. He was sheltered from the sunbeams there, surrounded by the soothing warmth of another person and blanketed by his strong arms. It had been a while since he'd slept like this, pliant and completely relaxed, luxuriating in the time passing by. Hell, it had been a while since he'd managed to sleep through the night.
Alex smiled, soft and genuine. Adrien was like a small cat he realised. He put in a face that he was grumping and hated everyone but really he just wanted attention. Not that he’d ever tell him that. He kissed him on the top of the head, starting to try and wiggle away so he could use the bathroom.
Adrien made a grumbly sound and tightened his grip on Alex, completely unwilling to stop cuddling even in his sleep. His face was smushed up against Alex's collarbone but he didn't seem to notice the uncomfortable way it tilted his neck, arms staying tight around the Walker's waist.
(Happy new year <3)
Alex sighed softly, shaking his head ever so slightly. He reached down, starting to peel Adrien's hands off his waist. Even in his sleep the human had a strong grip. Eventually, after some careful movements, He managed to wiggle away, getting a pillow and setting it under Adrien's head to make him comfortable.
(Happy new year!!)
Adrien clung to him for as long as he could but eventually he seemed to give in, curling up into a little ball with both hands wrapped around the pillow which he cuddled with an unusual sort of stubbornness. He'd always preferred to sleep with something in his arms, though he wasn't picky what it was.
Alex smiled down at him, quickly pulling on a pair of trousers since he didn’t know if any of Adrien’s family were around this morning. Quietly, he left the room, standing out in the hall for a moment before searching around to find the nearest bathroom. Luckily it didn’t take too long to find and to long to use. He was washing his hands in a matter of minutes and heading back to Adrien’s room.
Outside a car rumbled to life, driving out of the driveway and down the street as Adrien's dad left for work. Adrien was just starting to stir, half-open eyes glaring down at his pillow with the most burning look of discontent a person could muster while mostly asleep. He perked up when he saw Alex, shoving the pillow aside and making grabby hands at him. "Where were you?"
Alex gestured to the door vaguely, “Bathroom.” He said simple, climbing back onto the bed and tucking Adrien into his side yet again. He set the dissuaded pillow underneath his head grabbing another and doing the same, “You’re very strong for someone so small, you know.”
Adrien hummed, disapproving but not so far gone that he could really muster up any anger at Alex for being gone, and curled up against him immediately. "It's cause I hate waking up alone, " he mumbled, nuzzling his way into the crook of Alex's neck. "Gotta be strong enough to keep someone around 'til I'm awake."
"But what if the someone desperately needed to use the toilet and they couldn't get out?" Alex ran his hand through Adrien's hair, the other drawing circles into his side, "Death by piss, what a way to go out."
"Then someone can hold it or smack me awake." Adrien cracked his eyes open to give Alex a pouty look, half-buried in the world walker's shoulder. Everything felt very warm curled up against someone else's side. It was nice. "Nobody's gonna die of piss poisoning unless they're dumb or weak."
Alex smiled down at him, what Adrien just said going in one ear and out the other because he was too focused on how cute he looked with a pout, "Gods you're cute." He mumbled, kissing the top of his head.
Adrien rolled his eyes, doing his best to ignore the blush coloring his cheeks. "Liar," he mumbled, turning his face further into Alex's neck. "I look like a washed-out scarecrow, 'm not exactly attractive. 'specially not with bedhead and eyebags."
Alex shook his head, running a hand through Adrien's hair and playing with it, "I would never lie to you. And the human's natural state is when they're cutest, like when they've just woken up, for example."
"Natural state shmatural state," Adrien grumbled, leaning up into Alex's touch as best he could without having to pull his face out of the World Walker's neck. "I look gross, you just like me too much to admit it."
Alex chuckled softly, pressing a few kisses to Adrien's neck, "Hmm that might be so," He mumbled, biting down lightly on his neck, "Or maybe, I'm telling the truth, and you just don't want to admit that I'm right."
Adrien tilted his head to the side with a soft hum as Alex started to kiss him, breath gusting out in a surprised little gasp when he bit down. "I never wanna admit you're right," he teased, snaking a hand into Alex's hair. "It's part of my charm."
"One day," Alex pressed a few kisses to Adrien's neck, working his way up to his jaw, "I'm going to get you," A couple more kisses, "To admit I'm right." He pulled back slightly, enough so he could press his lips against the humans.
Adrien pulled Alex down into the kiss by his hair, kissing him back like this was a competition that he intended to win. He gave the World Walker a breathless smile as he pulled away, pleasntly ruffled and turned a delicate shade of gold from the sunlight streaming in through the window. His hair was mussed. He was laughing. "Sure you will, sugar bear."
Alex raised a brow with an amused smile, "Sugar bear? Really?" He rubbed his nose against Adrien's, sighing softly, "That's like if I called you honey pie or something. Some old people shit." He kissed Adrien on the nose and poked him in the side, shaking his head.
"You've called me cutie three times and counting," Adrien answered, nuzzling Alex back with a playful smile. He squealed when he was poked, smacking the Walker's hands away with a soft pout. "I'm just trying to keep up with how gross and sappy you are! You're just a big ol' romantic at heart, I've gotta find some way to catch up."
"Calling you cutie is not that gross and sappy," Alex rolled his eyes and poked him again, "It's a compliment and I'm just describing you. Sugar bear is on a completely different level there, love." He raised a brow.
"I dunno where you're from, but on earth in the year of our lord 2020, it's sickeningly sweet. Almost as bad as baby." His face screwed up into a vaguely disgusted expression as he shuffled closer to Alex, making sure they were pressed together from shoulder to hip. "Also it's awfully bold of you to assume sugar bear isn't a completely accurate description."
Alex frowned slightly, though it look like a pout more then anything, "It is not an accurate description. I am not a bear nor a I made of sugar so your name is completely inaccurate." He mumbled, huffing slightly.
