"Yeah." he said again, looking away for a moment, then back at Tony with a faint sigh.
"This City smells like Smoke and Death" // OxO // Closed
Antonio looked at him before hesitating to continue on. He ended up shutting up.
He gave a faint sigh. "Sorry if I killed the…mood or whatever."
"No, you're fine," Antonio responded, "I'm the one who asked in the first place."
"Yeah. I just…this city has a lot of issues. I wouldn't…I don't know." he shook his head slightly.
"What if you left to help the city?" Antonio posed the question being curious while at the same time trying to lift the mood a little.
"I…don't see how my leaving would help." Quinn said slowly.
"Well, hypothetically, what if it did?" Antonio asked him again, "Somehow you leaving the city would help the city in future. Would you leave?"
"I…I don't know." he said slowly, fronwing a little bit.
"That's fine, sorry I like talking through hypotheticals sometimes," Antonio replied in an attempt to explain the questions.
"It's fine. I just…I don't know. There's a lot to do here in the city, and if someone were to leave to help the city…maybe it would be better for one of the older Immunes to go."
"How old are some of the immunes? They can't all be your age," Antonio asked in response to that.
"They aren't. The oldest are…about forty." He replied with a shrug.
Antonio gave a little nod, "So your on the younger end?"
"Well…yeah." he shrugged faintly, fiddling with a loose strand of hair for a moment.
"Is there anyone younger than you?" Antonio asked after a moment.
He nodded a little. "A few, yeah." He replied with a faint shrug.
"Okay, again sorry. Just me being curious," Antonio apologized.
"It's fine. It's just…I dunno." He ran his hands through his hair.
"Don't know what?" Antonio asked looking over at Quinn.
"Lots of things." He said with a laugh.
"You aren't wrong," Antonio laughed with him.
He smiled over at Tony, laughing quietly.
Antonio smiled back fully aware of how little he knew.
Quinn sighed faintly. "Anyways." he closed his eyes for a moment.
Antonio gave a slight nod unsure as to what Quinn was going to say. He would wait instead of trying to guess.
Quinn looked over at him. "So. Tomorrow, we'll go to the outskirts, try to find your family."
"Yeah," Antonio replied momentarily. Not quite fast enough like a normal response, but not slow enough to be deemed suspicious. He had forgotten about the fact that Quinn thought Antonio was there to find missing family members.
"But uhm…you'll have to be careful. I don't have an extra mask, but…you've got to wear long sleeves and pants, and preferably gloves as well."
"I, might need to borrow gloves," Antonio responded thinking about what he had in his bag. Long sleeves and pants he should be able to do, he was wearing a similiar outfit yesterday, but he had no gloves.
