Quinn hummed. "What wold you like to eat?" he asked.
"This City smells like Smoke and Death" // OxO // Closed
"Like yesterday, whatever you want to make me," Antonio replied after some thought.
"Alright. Is eggs alright?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Eggs is fine," Antonio responded with a light smile.
"Alright." he startd working on making some eggs.
Antonio was still trying to figure out if Quinn had read his papers. He assumed not given he was still being treated the same.
Quinn continued working on the eggs. He had not read the papers, no, even though he was curious about them.
Antonio glanced over at Quinn, "Soo how long were you down before I woke up?"
"Oh, just a few minutes." He replied with a quick smile.
"Oh, okay," Antonio nodded with a light smile back.
He kept working on the eggs quietly.
Antonio watched him patiently.
He continued working, humming quietly.
Antonio had a light smile on watching him work along.
He continued to work on the eggs.
Antonio thought for a moment before asking, "So we're still going out today?"
"Yeah." he replied. "I'll tell one of the others that I won't make it."
"Okay," Antonio nodded slightly, "Are you sure they'll be fine without you?"
"For one day, yeah." he smiled faintly.
Antonio gave a smile back, "Then they'll need you back again?"
"Yeah." he replied with a quick nod.
"Do you get paid for working with the sick?" Antonio asked him. He knew Quinn really didn't have a choice but to help, but was he getting paid for it.
"Uhm…no. The city…we don't really have much use for money anymore. We take care of each other. Everyone's got food, water, clothes, a place to live. Anything else…" he shrugged.
"That, makes a lot of sense," Antonio replied with a slight nod. For a city suffering such devastation, it made sense to forgo money altogether, "But how do you get the supplies?"
"The city treasury pays for most of it. Also, any money that the dead had when they died gets absorbed by the city. Ceridwen had a lot of money, back in the day, and we still have a lot left over."
"That also makes a lot of sense," Antonio responded his head bobbing slightly. He thought for another moment, "So mot of the wealthy have died?"
Quinn shrugged. "I don't know. I don't keep track." he replied with a hum.
"That's fine, I was just curious," Antonio responded with another hum.
He nodded, and continued to work on making the eggs.
Antonio went silent after that. He figured the eggs would be finished soon.
