"Like, how bad?" He asked, not really knowing what else to say.
Time After Time (One on One) {OPEN}
She shrugged. "You'll see. So after it happened, I looked into it, and apparently they put too much negative charge into one of the serums, and the test subject they were working on, basically everything around her, and…screw it, the entire room exploded. Guess who happened to be walking by?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
"…Oh." He said, blinking. "I mean, at least you weren't the one being experimented on…"
"Well, yeah. But that doesn't explain everything yet. People knew it was going to explode, like, a minute or so before it actually happened, and my mom and the therapist - and basically everyone else - booked it. But I was terrified and small, and so I covered my eyes and ears, so I couldn't tell they left. And then, you know, it exploded. But I wasn't in the room, so I didn't die. But I did get some injuries. A lot, actually." She held out her hand to count on it. "Broken ankle, broken hip bone, three broken ribs, a sprained wrist and two broken fingers…and then the real kicker, cranial damage. Big time cranial damage."
"…Yikes."
"Yeah. So it messed up my brain, and now I'm angry. And then I also…this is gonna sound really cheesy and marvel-lly…but yeah, I absorbed the blast, or at least the parts of it that focused on the emotions. So now, you make me angry, I can turn that into a physical force that hurts people. They'll also absorb the feeling, too." She explained, finishing.
"…So you're pretty much the Hulk, with out the shape shifting?" He said, at a lost for any other words.
"Yeah, well, Hulk couldn't turn his emotions to smoke either. But yeah, basically. Here I am." Lulu gestured languidly to herself, looking back at him.
"Cool!" He said, smiling.
"You think so?" Lulu asked, a grin spreading across her face. "I've never told anyone except you, since no one except you's really seen it."
"Seriously?" He asked, smiling softly.
"Yeah." She nodded, grinning fully now. "You're not gonna put me in a lab, now are you?"
"Bold of you to assume I'm smart enough to have a lab." He said, blank faced.
“True. Absolutely.” She said, nodding her head.
He laughed slightly. "So, let's go a bit more into how some of the others on this list died, and see how shady they are."
"Alright. Um…I like this name. Hana Orisa. Check her out," Lulu prompted, pointing to the name.
Eric plugged the name into google, reading over the article. "Says it was suicide by gun shot, but the only gun she own- which she got as protection in case an obsessive ex violated his restraining order- didn't match the bullet that was still in her head."
Lulu threw her hands up. "Of course it didn't. Of course. Okay, try this one. Bastion Amelie?"
"Lets see… hit by a car after running in front of it, said to have been drunk, but there was no evidence of alcohol in their system." He said, raising an eyebrow.
"Dear god. They're not even trying to cover it up," She exclaimed, rolling her eyes in agitation. "Yeah, okay. They're faking famous musician's deaths. We have no proof of reincarnation."
"Uh… hold on." He said, typing again. "Alright, how to figure out if someone was reincarnated. Worst come to worst, we use a Ouija Board."
Lulu twitched a little, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "I refuse to go near one of those things."
"It's not that bad! My cousins and I did seances and shit all the time!" He said. "You just have to be specific about who you are summoning, and don't ask them to interact."
She shook her head. "My mom always said they were almost haram. I won't touch one."
"Not sure what that means, but I can do it and record it." He offered, shrugging.
((Can I just make him someone who can do witchcraft kinda magic and talks to the dead?))
((for sure man I got an emotional hulk here go ahead))
"It means to go against the islamic law. Anyway, sure, fine. Just don't get me near one. I don't care if it's digital." Lulu agreed with a sigh, a black lock of hair falling over her shoulder.
"Okay, got it, I'll write the stuff down." He said.
"Wait…hold up. When exactly are you doing this? Eric, you're hospitalized." Lulu emphasized, gesturing to his leg.
"As soon as I get out." He said, seriously.
"That might not be for a day or two," She forewarned, leaning over his shoulder and raising an eyebrow at him. "Do you just, like, have one laying around at your house or something?"
