True loves kiss (Lesbian romance O/O)
After dinner, Aurelie went to the gardens to take a walk in the beautiful twilight instead of being forced to socialize or retiring to her quarters. Her hair was in a braid and her dress was loose and flowy as she strolled through the gardens.
Cat wondered into the gardens. After asking around a little she heard this is usually we're the princess hangs out. She finished work an hour ago and was now out of her uniform. Now wearing trousers and a plain shirt. She silently walked looking for Aurelie.
Aurelie smiled as she smelled the sweet aroma of flowers and plants. It was a beautiful night, as the sky was a husky lavender gray and the moon was barely fading into view. A slight balmy breeze brushed past. She had no idea Cat was looking for her as she wandered into her path, not noticing the other girl at first as she was so wrapped up in her own little world.
Cat smiled when she saw Aurelie. "Hello Aurelie," She says bowing slightly as she turned to the princess. "I don't think I said thank you for helping me earlier."
She whirled around to face the other girl. “Oh, yeah! You’re welcome!” she chirped with a blush. Oh, gods.
Cat held back a smirk. "How where your lessons?" She asked walking closer to Aurelie.
“Fine,” she replied airily, not failing to notice that Cat was moving towards her. Was it possible that she actually liked Aurelie? “How was your day?”
"It was boring. Cleaned a few rooms after the drawing room but that's about it," she said stopping a foot away from the other girl. She willed herself to blush slightly.
“That’s cool,” she responded. Was she blushing? “So what brings you out to the gardens tonight?”
"Not really sure. I'm all done with work but I don't really want to go back to my room. It's really quiet. I'm used to a pretty full house," she said half telling the truth.
“Yeah, it’s always nice out here,” Aurelie commented with a dreamy smile. “I love the feeling of walking through the gardens at night. It clears my head.”
Cat nodded. ”It does seem nice, ” she said looking around them. ”I'm guessing you don't run into a bunch of people out here.”
“Not really,” she replied. “That’s part of the beauty of it.” She laughed. “I know that sounds really anti-social, but it’s true.”
”No, I get it. I used to walk in the woods when people became too much. Just me and my sketchbook, ” she admits smiling.
“That sounds lovely,” Aurelie sighed, glancing over at the other girl. Cat seemed to glow in the soft moonlight and Aurelie was mesmerized. She glanced away with a light blush. “Isn’t it beautiful tonight?”
Cat stared at Aurelie. She had to admit the princess was very Pretty. ”It really is, ” she said finally looming away and at a bench close to them. ”Would you like to sit down?” she asks gesturing to the bench. It was small so if they both sat their legs would be touching.
“Sure,” she responded, a bit surprised at the question. She sat on one side of the bench with a small smile, before realizing how close they would be. Aurelie wasn’t sure whether she wanted it or not. Closeness would make it harder to think, but also probably be amazing.
Cat sat beside her smiling. There legs and arms touching. She acted like she didn't even notice. Her hands folded on her knees. She lightly knocked her foot against hers.
Aurelie felt a flutter in her stomach as Cat knocked her foot against Aurelie’s. Aurelie was intensely aware of everywhere they were touching, though like Cat she pretended not to notice. Aurelie knocked her foot back against Cat’s playfully, smiling at her.
She giggled slightly. wrapping her ankle around Aurelies for a second after she bumped into it. There was no doubt in cats mind that the princess liked her. She turned to face her, looking her in the eyes.
Aurelie swallowed, feeling her face heat up. She blinked, looking back at Cat nervously. Sure, she’d kissed boys before, but it didn’t mean anything to her and was all initiated by the guy, because she had no interest in it. But she had never so much as flirted with a girl before, and it gave her major butterflies.
Cat placed a hand on Aurelie's arm. "You look nervous," She said tilting her head slightly.
“Do I?” she asked, knowing full well she did. “I’m just…not used to being in close proximity to strangers is all.”
Cat kept her smile and didn't move. ”Oh, do you want me to get up? Or we can fix the stranger part, ” She jokes knocking her foot against the other girls again.
Aurelie was sure her face was beyond red at this point. She giggled, still tense. “Yeah…” she muttered quietly. “That’d be good.” She was horrible at flirting. Absolute trash at it.
Cat kept the warm smile on her now blush free face. She shifted slightly so only their legs were touching. The rest of her body faced Aurelie. ”ok how about..” she thought for a second. ”Tell me one thing about yourself that you've never told anyone.” her voice was low.
“Umm, okay,” she responded, her mind whirring with what to say. “I daydream about running away sometimes. Now you go.” She didn’t want to say anything to give herself away, as if she hadn’t already done that.
Cat thought for a second. ”I can't read English, ” she admits. Whenever she does this with someone she makes sure to do a half truth. No one in this castle knows but her brother does. ”Why do you want to run away?” she tilted her head slightly.
“This curse stuff,” she admitted. “I know that it wouldn’t make a difference in the end, but it just feels like I could start over without all of these expectations.”
