Alto shivered a little in the cold, walking quickly to school. He reached the school grounds and cut across the sports fields.
The football team was out there, all of them laughing at talking. They often went out for morning runs, which Halo had usually declined so he could be with his brother.
Ohh! Extra plot twist! It's the captain of the football team//

Alto walked quicker after seeing the football team, keeping his hands in his pockets and his head down.
"Hey! Alto!" Kris walks after him, tapping his shoulder. There was no menace in his voice. Just curiousity.
Alto glanced back at him, slightly confused. “What?” He asked, continuing to walk.
Kris walked beside him. "We were wondering about Halo…" And you… "We haven't seen him since he talked to the coach."
"Uh..oh..yeah he's doing better. Well I guess you didn't hear. He was..uh..in the hospital for a while. It was this thing, I forget what it's called. It basically makes your muscles really weak and it's hard to walk and move and stuff. He'll be fine, I mean, he is fine, I..sorry…" Alto trailed off, looking down as he walked.
"Hey. It's okay." He hesitates to place a hand on Alto's shoulder. He had been so terrible to Halo and Alto. He had been struggling with his sexuality for the longest time, and he couldn't understand it. So he took it out on others. He felt aweful for hurting them. "Look… About the past… I'm really sorry. To both you and Halo. I've been kind of an a-hole."
Alto flinched slightly when Kris set his hand on his shoulder. “Yeah..you were..” He said quietly. “Why are you apologizing now?”
Kris looks down. "I was questioning a lot of shit. I was angry and confused. That didn't give me an excuse to bully and harass you and your brother.
"Did you figure any of your shit out?" Alto asked, glancing over at him.
Kris nods. "Most of it. Yeah." He smiles a little before glancing at Alto. "I'm still really sorry for hurting you and Halo. I feel so terrible for the hell I out you two through…" He says quietly.
"It's fine..I guess…I'll tell Halo." Alto said, smiling a tiny bit as well.
He nods an smiles slightly. "I'm glad… I hope he gets better. Is his illness permanent?" He asks softly.
“We don’t know yet..” Alto said quietly.
Kris nods and sighs softly. "If you guys ever need anything. And I mean anything. We're always here to help." He says gently. "Especially me." He says gently.
“Th-thanks..” Alto glanced up at him. “Wow you’re really tall..” He thought out loud.
Kris laughs gently. "You can thank my dad for that." He smiles at Alto.
Alto laughed a little, flustered a bit. “Yeah..I..I should get to class..” He took a step away.
Kris nods. "Alright." He offered his hand to shake. "I'll see you around?" He sounded rather hopeful at that.
Alto took it and shook it hesitantly. "Uh, yeah..probably.." He said quietly.
Kris' hand was soft and calloused. It was rather large compared to Altos, and warm too. Kris smiles at the other. "Well, I'll see you around." He says kindly, flashing his white smile that made pretty much every one swoon.
Alto smiled a little, a little blush creeping up his face. "Yeah, sounds good.." He let go of Kris's hand and turned, starting to walk away.
Kris nods and his smile seems to grow. "Alright. Take care, Alto." He waves before heading to his class.
"You too." Alto waved behind him and went into the building, still in shock. What the hell??
