"Maybe they have non spicy options?" He asked, "Or I just won't have anything to eat,"

"But not eating is very bad for your health!" Rhys protests.

"Oh stop!" He huffed, "It's fine,"

Rhys glares.

"You're eating something tonight, even if I have to force feed you."

"You won't," He raised an eyebrow

Rhys raises an eyebrow.

"Even if we are only fake boyfriends, I'll act fully the part. And that means kissing you whenever I need to convince you to do something, or using my powers to literally force you to eat."

Beacon blushed, "I doubt that.. I would never kiss someone I'm not dating.."

"Then avoid finding out if I'm kidding by eating." Rhys says cheerfully.

"I know you won't, I'm not eating spicy food," He crossed his arms

Rhys raises an eyebrow, and, to prove a point - definitely not because he wanted to - he kisses Beacon, then pulls away.

"You were saying. . .?"

Beacon's face turns red, "You..!"

Rhys laughs.

"You thought I wouldn't! I had to prove a point! And besides, we'll have to do it in the school anyways. And around my parents."

Beacon covered his face out of embarrassment, "Let's just go and eat.."

"Yeah, yeah." Rhys giggles, pulling Beacon along.

I can't believe I just had my first kiss with this.. this.. weirdo! Beacon let Rhys pull him along to the restaurant, feeling totally embarrassed

Rhys stops in front of the restaurant, floating down to the ground and standing instead of levitating.

He pushes open the door, pulling Beacon in after him.

"why am I here.." He sighed

"Dinner!" Rhys says cheerfully.

"Yeah yeah.. what are you gonna order,"

"Jambalaya." Rhys replies.

True to his word, he orders himself jambalaya (extra spices).

Beacon orders a salad and watches in disbelief as Rhys ate his dish

"Damn, that was good." Rhys says, pleased, as the people in the back look shocked as well.

They'd done their best to put this white-looking boy in his place and instead had been shown up.

"I can't believe you just ate that.." Beacon muttered, "Anyway, do you have any other plans for today?"

"What? It wasn't even that spicy." Rhys snorts.

"Um- other than showering, watching cartoons and then falling asleep, no."

"Ugh I mean for this 'date'" He huffed "If not I'm gonna go home,"

"Um- well, for this date, I'd like to know what I'm actually allowed to say to you in public." Rhys sighs.

"What do you mean? If we're faking say and do whatever you want," He mumbled, sipping on his drink

"No, even if we're faking, we need to set boundaries as though it were a normal relationship." Rhys counters.

"It's not like we're gonna fuck, so I don't have any rules,"

Rhys turns bright red.
