“Yes..that’s why I prefer to work alone. I don’t have many friends, but that’s okay.” He took another sip of broth, “You aren’t annoying.”

Avery smiled widely. "Well thank you." She leaned back, watching him curiously.

He wiped his mouth free of excess broth from his lips, “You…you’re very competent.” He attempted more conversation, which proved difficult in his lowered mental state.
Avery reached over and placed an arm on his hand. "Thank you. Now finish your broth and get some rest. You need it."
group
“Okay..” he breathed shakily, lifting the mug to finish the last of the broth in a couple of swallows. He handed her back the mug.
Avery took the mug to tge kitchen and washed it before putting it on the drying rack. She turned the temperature in the house up a couple more degrees. "I'm going to go shower, will you be alright by yourself for a few minutes?"
group
“Yes..” he called, “Yes, I’ll be fine. I’ll just take a nap.” He pulled the blanket over his shoulders and tilted his head towards the back of the couch to try and get some rest.
Avery nodded and looked at him for a second more.before heading to her bedroom with an adjorning bathroom. She was sure that she wasnt in there long, ten minutes tops. She dressed in fuzzy pajamas and stepped back out into the living room.

Thomas has fallen dead asleep on her couch, slumped and lethargic on the pillow with his neck at an odd angle. Not alarming, he just might wake up with a sore neck and a headache.
Avery smiled softly. She was glad he was feeling better. She was afraid he wouldn't make it when she first flund him but he was going so much better
group
Siberia had drifted asleep in front of the couch beside him, head resting peacefully on the carpet.
Thomas’ hands rose and fell over his on stomach with each soft, rhythmic breath.
Avery searched for something that the dog would be able to eat and set it in a small bowl in front of her for when she decided to wake up.

He didn’t seem to be faring much better than just several hours before, but would definitely still need to go to the hospital. Especially for his leg, which had bled onto her couch, unnoticeable under the blanket.
Avery sat in the chair, watching him until her eyelids became too heavy to keep open and she fell asleep

(Sure)
group
Thomas didn’t remember being transferred to the hospital. He woke up on the sterile bed with his casted leg up in the air and his dog no where to be found. He looked around groggily, “Hn..?”
Avery was sitting by his side, readong a book. She looked up when She noticed he was waking. "Welcome back to the living." She said with a teasong voice.
group
He looked over at her with a small smile, “Where am I…? This isn’t your house..” he mumbled drowsily.
Avery put a bookmark in her book and set it aside. "We're at the hospital. The storm lifted." She explained.
group
“Where’s Siberia?” He sat up, looking around the room for his dog, “Is she, is she okay?” He still seemed groggy from the medicine they gave him earlier.
Avery gently pushed him back down. "She's fine. She's at the house, probably still on the couch where I left her."
group
Thomas huffed put a sigh and stare at the ceiling. Well, as long as Siberia was at the house he didn’t have to worry. He relaxed back into the pillow, eyes falling to his casted leg, “Did they have to do surgery?”
Avery nodded. "It was bad." She placed her crossed arms on the bed next to him. "Are you hungry? U can call a nurse to come get you something to eat."
group
“No…I’m not that hungry.” He declined, “I’m just…feel like I got hit by a truck..”
"Well, not exactly, just caught in a freak storm." She teased. "I'll call the nurse, see if they can give you any more medicine."
group
“Hah..yes, thank you.” He managed a smile to her, “That should help..”
Avery smiled. She pressed the button that she was told would call the nurse.
group
Thomas looked over at the button. It sounded vaguely like the same tone he used to whistle Siberia to him. He really missed her..
The nurse popped in after minute or so, “What do you need?” She smiled, then saw Thomas, “Oh, he’s awake.”
"I was wondering if he could get stronger pain meds." Avery said to the nurse
