Farah took a few shaky steps, but she managed to catch herself quickly and regain her balance as she turned around to face Shade.

Farah took a few shaky steps, but she managed to catch herself quickly and regain her balance as she turned around to face Shade.
Shade grins. She disappears and reappears behind Farah once more, a stronger blast of wind knocking the faerie to the ground.
group
Farah fell, unable to catch herself with her wrists still bound. She managed to avoid the worst of it, but her nose smacked the ground and started bleeding rapidly. "Damn it," she muttered, turning her face away from Shade so she wouldn't see.
Shade kneels in front of Farah quickly, turning her face. "Damn it…"
She places two fingers gently against the faerie's broken nose, and it heals in an instant. "There we go."
group
Farah winced a bit, and she looked away from Shade's eyes. "I suppose you did win then," she reluctantly admitted. "Could you undo these now so I don't smash my face again?" She nodded her head toward the binds on her wrist.
Shade nods, and the bindings disappear. She grins slightly as she does so.
(Hello? You good?)
group
(Hey hey, I'm here!)
(Hey! Everything alright?)
group
Farah takes her wrists in her hands and rubs them gently. She hisses through her teeth slightly and stands, still not meeting Shade's gaze.
group
(Yeah :))
Shade backs off slightly, then sighs. "Sorry."
She lifts Farah's head, so she'd meet her gaze.
(Good, good.)
group
Farah smiled faintly. "Don't be. It's alright."
"Okay, if you're sure." Shade murmurs, wiping the blood from Farah's face.
She nods, then kisses Farah.
group
Farah's eyes follow Shade's lips as they approached her, and she kissed back gently.
Shade grins, then pulls away. The sun had set hours before, and the others were probably getting worried.
"We could head back now, if you'd like." she murmurs.
group
"Just a moment," Farah replied quietly. "There's something I'd like to ask you."
Shade looks at Farah curiously. "What is it?"
group
Farah's expression was serious. "Do you have any clue who your parents might be?"
Shade shakes her head. "No. They died a long time ago, actually. The people I called my parents… well…"
Her voice trails off, and she shrugs. "At least, that's what I was told."
group
Farah desperately searched Shade's eyes. "And you have no idea who they were?" she asked with an urgent undertone to her voice.
Shade shakes her head once more. "No idea. trust me, I would tell you if I knew."
She also notes the urgent undertone, and wonders at it.
group
Farah sighed and shook her head. "Alright… it doesn't make sense though… Do you know if either of your parents were fae?"
Shade shrugs. "I find that highly unlikely, Farah. My abilities don't align with the abilities of the fae. No creature can do the dimensional magic I can do."
group
Suddenly, Farah's expression deadpanned. "Oh gods," she breathed, staring at Shade in shock. "It can't be, there's no way…" Her eyes darted over every feature of Shade's face.
Shade jumps, then looks at Farah intently. "Tell me what's wrong."
group
Farah shakes her head, blinking incredulously. "Shade… I think… I think one of your parents… is a spirit…"
Shade just stares at farah for a moment, then thinks for a while. "You've had suspicions for a while now, huh? You can't just reach a conclusion like that without thought."
group
Farah nodded admittedly. "Yes, I have. I was only sure after our fight just now. Well… and the fact that you literally took Saul and me into a completely different world."
