"A tricksy trickster, I see?" Shade teases, her eyes locked on Farah's.
A noise makes her whirl, and sees a wolf pack approaching. They aren't normal wolves, though. These were dire wolves, much bigger and much stronger than anything Shade could deal with.

"Shit," Farah whispered. "We need to run." She grabbed Shade's arm and pulled her. "Now."
(I'm okay with it, lmao!)
Shade obediently follows Farah. "Where are we going going going?"

"Away from them," Farah said shortly. "It's a race."
Shade laughs.
"If it's a race, then let's race!" she says, taking off once more, calling her peregrine again.

Farah glanced over her shoulder. The wolves were gaining on them. "You go," she said. "Hurry."
Shade shakes her head.
"Nope nope nope. I will not leave my friend behind." she says.

"Go," Farah ordered firmly. "I promise I'll be fine. But I need you to leave."
"No. Not again. Never again, Farah. Not after-" Shade says, then cuts herself off, sufficing with a headshake and another "No."

Farah sighed. "Fine." She looked around to find the biggest tree she could for the moment. "There," she said, pointing. "Climb that tree and don't come down."
Shade nods.
"I will at least do that, I suppose…" she murmurs. She scales the tree and a quarter of the way up, she stops and looks back down.

Farah whipped around to face the wolves. They snarled and growled as they approached her, but Farah remained calm. She channeled her magic to her fingertips and when the wolves got close enough, she unleashed it. Her mind magic threw the wolves simultaneously backward in the air, yipping and howling.
Shade watches in amazement as Farah bends the wind to her will. Damn… only the Fae can do that. Tricksy little faeries!
She climbs down the tree very quickly. "Where'd they go go go?"

Farah sighed. "Away," she answered, leaning against the bark of the tree to recover briefly. Using so much magic at once drained her.
Shade decides to let Farah let her know on her own time and lets it all go.
"Okay! scree-AW, there is no need to come after all!" she calls, seeing the peregrine circling above.

"Well," Farah said softly, "now you know." She was referring to the fact that she was a fae.
Shade, surprised, laughs.
"Oh, I was not expecting you to come out with it so soon! I watched you, you know. The way you walked… didn't seem human human human, I suppose. Although, the wind magic certainly was a bit overkill, don't you think?" she grins, wrapping Farah in a hug.

Farah wasn't one to beat around the bush. She gasped as Shade's arms wrapped around her, but slowly, she returned the embrace. "You're not… running away?" she asked hesitantly, as if she was expecting Shade to realize her reaction was wrong.
"Nope nope nope! I have no problem with faeries. Isn't that right, Flutter?" Shade says, the sprite floating next to them both.
"And, well, the sprite's reaction to you made it a little obvious." she adds.

"Of course," Farah acknowledged with a smirk.
Shade laughs. "Anyways, we good good good?"

Farah chuckled. "Yes, we're good."
Shade jumps up and down wildly, grinning madly.
"Yay!" she replies. A thought strikes her, and she looks Farah dead in her eyes, stopping her bouncing.
"So, I suppose you're wondering who or what I am still, aren't you you you?" she asks, smiling slyly.

Farah arched her eyebrows. "Would you give me a real answer if I asked?"
Shade shrugs. "Sure."

"Alright." Farah tilted her head to the side. "Who or what are you?"
"I am Shade Theta. My parents are both human human human, although I'm pretty sure I have some faerie ancestry too. I have lived in this forest since I was ten. I do not know what exactly I am beyond that. I have a knack for understanding the forest and what dwells within within within." Shade says, for the first time since she'd met Farah sitting down. Not out of tiredness this time, just because.

Farah lowered herself to sit beside Shade. "Well, Shade Theta, I'm Farah Dowling. And I'm a fairy, I have been my entire life, and I've always lived in the woods. Maybe not always these woods." She winked, like it was some big secret.
Shade just laughs. "The woods are all the same, you know. I thought that you,being a faerie, would know this."
She pauses a moment. "Tell me: Seelie or Unseelie?"

Farah grinned. She was Seelie, but she wanted to hear what Shade said. "Take your guess."
