"Seelie Seelie Seelie… because the Unseelie would have killed me on the spot." Shade laughs, jumping up.
"Wait, you... you're... magic?" "Darling, what do you think?" (Fantasy o/o Closed)
group
The laugh that escaped Farah was sweet and musical. "Then why did you even ask?"
"Because why not? I had my doubts. They needed to be killed killed killed." Shade replies.
"And besides, I think that even if you were Unseelie, I might still be alive anyways. I have that aura about me apparantly that makes people hesitate to kill kill kill me." she adds.
group
Farah arched her eyebrows. "Oh?"
Shade nods. "Indeed indeed indeed."
She closes her eyes a moment, then a soft, silvery glow surrounds her. Streaked with black, gold and pink, it was almost unnatural in its intensity. Except it was completely natural; it was her aura, what very few people can see and what fewer can manifest.
"See see see? My aura." she giggles, and the light fades away. "I don't know what it means. I'm not even sure why I can manifest my aura. But I can."
group
Farah watched with soft, wide eyes. "You must have some fae in your bloodline. I've never seen a human do that."
Shade shrugs. "It never really mattered mattered mattered. And the thing is, I can see auras. I need to concentrate, but… I can do do do it."
She squints at Farah, and has to cover her eyes. The faerie's aura was nearly blinding, a brighter, more colorful version of her own.
"You are very bright bright bright. Too bright. You're a Gentry Faerie, aren't you?" she murmurs, her hand moving to touch Farah's aura. She shivers: it was hot and cold at the same time.
group
Farah lifted her chin and inhaled slowly. "Yes," she admitted. "I am."
Shade chuckles. "Thought so… anyways, what do you want to eat eat eat?"
group
Farah wasn't done with this conversation yet. "How did you know I'm a Gentry?"
Shade shrugs. "I don't know know know. I know a lot of things I shouldn't. I don't know how I know a lot of the stuf stuff stuff I do."
group
Farah nodded and bit her lip gently. "Like what?"
"I dunno… There is an excess of leylines nearby. The dreamer is waking. This forest is theirs." Shade shrugs.
group
Farah frowned. "What?"
Shade shrugs again. "As I said, I do not necessarily know know know. All I know is that this is true. For now, why don't we eat eat eat?"
group
Farah nodded shortly. "Alright."
Shade grins. "Good good good."
She proceeds to go hunting, and comes up with a brace of rabbits, some wild garlic, wild rice, potatos and morel mushrooms. "Yay! Soup soup soup!"
She proceeds to turn the rabbits, wild garlic and rice, potatos and mushrooms into a delicious soup.
"Done done done!" she says, ladling out the soup.
(If Icefire does not want to join said RP I mentioned in their Dark Academia RP, would you like to?)
group
(Sure!)
Farah watched with a soft gaze as Shade expertly made the soup. “I take it this isn’t your first time making this,” she remarked.
"Nope nope nope! Not the first time I've made it. It's very good." Shade murmurs, most of her attention on the stew. She finishes eating it quickly, and sighs.
"Anyways, what to do next? We could try to fight fight fight." she suggests.
group
Farah was amazed at how fast the girl's mind moved. "Fight? You remember I am fae, don't you?"
"Yup yup yup! But you seem to forget: I am not a normal human person either. I'm sure I can take you." Shade laughs.
group
Farah arched her eyebrows. "You believe you can win against a Gentry Seelie fairy?"
"Maybe maybe maybe." is all she says. She disappears into the trees, grinning like a demon.
group
Farah lifted her chin and tilted her head. She felt magic swirling through the air and spiraling up into the leaves of the trees. It was palpable. She let it come to her. Channel.
Shade grins as she feels the magic swirl into Mist around her. She's good… she thinks, as silent and undetectable as a wraith. But I know these woods. I know where to block the magic, for the time being.
She leaps through the trees, finding her way to the center of the convergence of leylines. She moves a stone, and disrupts the flow of magic just enough so that she has a higher chance of winning. She sprints back to Farah, barely winded, and swings a punch straight at the fairy.
(Wait, since Pastel dropped out and we actually need someone to fill their place, you could join anyways!)
group
Farah's eyes flew open. She side-stepped Shade while simultaneously ducking out of the way. A spit of wind stirred up, pushing Shade through the air to create more distance between her and Farah. The fairy smiled and tilted her head. "Impressive," she remarked, knowing full-well the battle was far from over.
Shade laughs. "You are as well."
She lunges, closing the distance between them in seconds, attempting to sweep Farah's legs out from beneath her, a quarterstaff which drops from the trees humming towards the fairy's head.
group
After using her magic, Farah's senses were heightened. She continued to let Shade take the offensive patterns while she countered by jumping over her legs and swiftly reaching to catch the quarterstaff.
