He shook his head. "I'm perfect right here."

@croccin-champagne

She looked up at him, smiling softly. "Good to know."

"It's just weird looking down instead of up."

@croccin-champagne

"Would you like to switch then? Your head on my shoulder?" She asked, raising an eyebrow in amusement.

He shrugged. "Whatever you want, I guess."

@croccin-champagne

"Well tell me, do you like being tall, or being little?"

He laughed. "At this point you're just insulting me."

@croccin-champagne

"I am not. It is a serious question. I have always liked being tall." The last sentence was said thoughtfully, as she mused about something in her mind.

"And why is that?"

@croccin-champagne

"It makes me feel powerful." She said after a few moments of thoughtful silence. "Like nothing can touch me, and if they tried, like I could easily crush their throats."

"You have such an aggressive outlook on life, my goodness."

@croccin-champagne

"A product of my upbringing, or lack thereof."

(Jesus Christ, I completely forgot about this, I'm so sorry)
"Sounds like you had it rough. I can relate. 'Specially recently." His hazel eyes glazed over as he zoned out for a moment.

@croccin-champagne

((Nah, you're good!))

Manon nudged him, shrugging. "I guess. You have as well though, and more so than I."

He blinked a couple times, then smiled apologetically. "A financial struggle don't affect you the same way a bad upbringing would."
He avoided speaking about the fact the whole reason why he was in such a flux was because his parents died, and hoped she did the same.

@croccin-champagne

She shook her head in denial. "It was not as bad as it could have been. This financial struggle though, of yours, I would like to help as much as I can."

He shook his head. "Manon, you already have! You got me outta that shithole of a job at the paper mill."

@croccin-champagne

"A paper mill." She muttered, her accent thickening a tad. "You need a better job to support yourself, and your sisters. I will still do as much to help as I can, though."

"Well, I appreciate it." He lightly kissed the top of her head. "It's very nice of you."

@croccin-champagne

"Ah, yes. I am such a nice person." She said, half joking.

"Well, you dropped 300 bucks for someone just 'cause you found them cute," he pointed out. "Sounds pretty nice to me."

@croccin-champagne

"You have a fairly good point there." She admitted with a nod.

"Well, I'm very pleased my sisters caught your eye that day, 'cause I know sure as hell it wasn't me that made you drop that money." He shook his head. "I was in my work clothes. I probably smeeled like sweat and regret."

@croccin-champagne

"As a matter of fact, I thought you looked just fine. I don't much care for men in designer clothes with more supplies in their hair than I do." She hummed. "The small ones are but a bonus of the best kind."

"They are a blessing," he said, with a smile. "At least, most of the time."

@croccin-champagne

"Ah, children can be quite the havoc-wreakers, no?" She hummed, smiling.

He gestured around the decimated apartment. "You tell me."

@croccin-champagne

She laughed softly, nodding. "I guess that really speaks for itself."

"You should teach me some French," he said. "I tried to learn in highschool."

@croccin-champagne

"You want to learn French?" She looked excited at the idea, her eyes lighting up.
