Ava strolls along the beach, Kreja trotting happily ahead of her. Glancing up, she enjoys the setting sun, watching as new colors are painted across the sky. She looks back down to discover that her precious companion is gone. "Kreja!" She calls out, taking off running. Luckily, she spots him dart into a nearby restaurant. What is he up to now? "Get back here, Kreja!" She enters the building a few seconds after him and quickly begins to search for the large animal.

Cameron had opened up like usual. He cleaned the tables, washed the dishes from last night, did inventory, and finally flung open his doors into a sunshine-filled day on the sandy boardwalk of Isla. Today, the smaller star-sun Erylie (Isla's system has two suns, Erylie and Sumi) was beating down its hot red glare into his carefully tinted windows. His restaurant was a slick black and eggshell blue color that matched well with the rushing sea not so far off from his restaurant.
Cameron himself was beaming at the ocean, sighing happily before a dog came bounding in. He jumped and watched it run around, laughing happily. He loved animals, especially dogs.

After only a moment of looking around, Ava spots the dog sniffing around under one of the tables. Relief washes over her. Kneeling down, she calls for him. Kreja lifts his head at the sound of his name and happily trots over, acting as if nothing is out of the ordinary. She gives him a very light scolding, unable to stay mad at him. When she finally takes her attention away from her companion, she notices the other person in the restaurant. Not wanting to draw anymore attention to herself, she clips on Kreja’s leash and stands, ready to make her exit. Unfortunately, before she can do that, she needs to do what any normal person would do and apologize. “I’m sorry about that.” She tells the man who she guesses to be working here.
Cameron ruffled up his hair, watching the pretty dog get clipped up again with a smile.
"That's alright," He said nonchalantly with a yawn. "I don't mind, I get people running in and out to find their dogs. It's also kinda bad during hours, since my bartender is petrified of dogs. Anyway, did you want to sit down to eat?" He rambled mouthily, ending with a great big grin.
Ava listens as the man rambles on, baffled by his big grin. It takes her a moment to register his question since she’s still reeling from all of the talking. She really should leave but buying a meal would be the polite thing to do. Acting like a normal person is a lot of work. Glancing down at Kreja, she figures that he’s probably hungry so that makes up her mind. “Yeah, sure.” She agrees, keeping her tone light and pleasant.
Cam fished out a menu from a stack in the greeter's desk and a computer with an ocean-wave screensaver. He brushed his hands out to present his neat, retro-fit restaurant.
"Choose any seat you'd like!" He exclaimed, apparently blind to her struggles.
Ava chooses a table in the back of the restaurant that allows her a good view of everything going on. The mischievous dog curls up by her feet. “Do you just work here or do you own this place?” She asks, an attempt to make polite small talk. It’s been well over a year since she’s had a proper interaction with anyone so her people skills are a bit rusty.
