"I own it," Cam said smoothly, setting down the menu onto the table and smiling charmingly at her. "I'm Mr. Cameron Tobias Metzler himself, at your service." He bowed slightly, smiling brightly at the dog.
"So, could I start you two off with a drink?"

@LolaBug

Ava nods her head, noting how proud he seems of his business. This she can work with. At this moment, she really takes a chance to study him. With his cutely brown hair and charming facial features, he’s an attractive person. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Metzler,” She says with a hint of a smile. “Just some water would be nice,”

"It's a pleasure to meet you too! Alright, water. Lemon or no lemon? One for the dog?" He stuck his mottled, tan hands into his apron pockets, grinning and leaning his weight back on his heels. "What is your dog's name, anyway? I kind of missed it in the hurry trying to get it back." He laughed at himself.

@LolaBug

“Yes, one for the dog but no lemons,” Ava tells him with a slight nod. “His name is Kreja.” There’s no harm in telling anyone the name of her companion. Besides, the dog likes the attention. Once more, Kreja lifts his head at the mention of his name. She can’t help but smile when she sees her precious boy wag his tail.

Cameron smiled even wider and reached down to scratch Kreja's head after letting him sniff his hand.
"Wonderful, then, I'll be right out with that!" He stuck his hand back in his pocket and turned heel, trotting to the kitchen at an easy pace.

@LolaBug

Once Cameron has walked away, Ava leans down near Kreja. “You’re a lot more trouble than you’re worth,” She teases him fondly, pressing a kiss on his head before sitting back up. This dog is her life line, she can’t live without him. Right now, they should be back in the tower, preparing for later tonight but instead, they’re sitting in a restaurant. This is all Kreja’s fault but she loves him anyways.

Cameron scooped up a couple cups from the empty bartender's station before turning to a bain of ice in an automatic cooling part at the base of the bar. He turned to a soda-dispensing place and shucked in water to the cups, one larger than the other, before bringing them over and setting them down.
"Here you are."

@LolaBug

Ava moves her attention from Kreja to the man, watching as he works. When he places the cups down on the table, she thanks him before placing one down on the floor. So far, there’s no one else in the restaurant besides the two of them so that helps her relax a little. The less people there are, the smaller the chance that someone will recognize her.

Cameron smiled brightly at her as he leaned back on his heels. "So, would you like some time to browse our appetizers for the morning and our dishes? We have plenty, and you haven't even opened your menu yet," The broad-shouldered brunet observed, his eyes flicking down to the unopened, plastic menu.

@LolaBug

Much to her displeasure, her face heats up when he points out that she’s yet to open the menu laying right in front of her. This makes her realize that she really has been away from society for too long. “What do you recommend?” Ava questions, deciding that she may as well get his opinion since he owns the restaurant.

"Hmm… not to sound cocky, but I think it's all good. It's up to you, really." He smiled brightly and stuck his hands back into his pockets. "Well, I'll be back to check up on you all later, alright?"

@LolaBug

Ava snorts in amusement at his answer. Fair enough. What restaurant owner wouldn’t promote all of his food. “Okay,” She gives a slight nod of her head. This time she actually picks up the menu and looks at it.

Cameron chuckled softly at himself and flounced away, humming softly as he trotted into his kitchen, washing his hands again. He continued taking inventory after that, as his staff trickled in.

@LolaBug

After a quick peek into her wallet, Ava figures out how much money she has to spend. Without a real job she has to rely on less legal ways to earn cash. It only takes her a few moments after that to decide what to get, one of the more simple items on the menu.

Soon a waiter approached her with a sleepy smile. It was a tall chick with rumpled blonde hair, as if she had just woken up. Her name tag, which read 'Amelia' was crooked on her shirt.
"Hi, there. Cam said he got you set up with everything?"

@LolaBug

Something about the waitress seems to throw Kreja off, causing him to let out a low growl of displeasure. Ava immediately reaches down and placing a hand on his head to calm him. “Yes, he did.” She confirms with a nod. Hopefully the waitress wouldn’t mind the dog’s sudden attitude.

Amelia glanced down at the dog, looking somewhat unnerved, but looked back up at the girl.
"So what have you decided on, then?"

@LolaBug

“I’ll take the sautéed shrimp with fries for the side.” Ava answers with an apologetic smile, her hand still on Kreja’s head. It’s a precaution in case his attitude gets any worse.

"Alright, I'll bring that right out for you." She scribbled down the order and hurried off to the kitchen, having other tables to tend to as people came in to the restaurant for breakfast.

@LolaBug

Ava turns to the dog and scolds him lightly. “What is wrong with you? You’re the reason we’re stuck here.” She whispers to him. Talking to her companion as if he’s human may seem strange to some but she doesn’t really care what they think.

Amelia hung up the order for Cam, who washed his hands again before grabbing it and getting started on cooking. Meanwhile, the bartender, who was a lanky, haughty man, slunk into the restaurant and plopped down grumpily, his pale, thin face pulled into a deep frown.

@LolaBug

Ava frowns when she sees the bartender arrive. Something about him automatically sets her on edge. It’s his face that unsettles her, she decides this after a moment of consideration. Glancing away from the man, she decides that it’s best not to be caught staring as to avoid putting any attention into herself.

The man sat up as Amelia brought him drink orders, which he filled right away by setting out trays with the order and cups. The woman hurried around as fast as she could, being the only waitress in the area so far.

@LolaBug

Watching all of the commotion, Ava does feel a bit bad for the waitress. The poor woman is the only waitress in the area at the moment and it’s getting busy. Looking at her wallet again, she decides that she’ll have enough left over to leave a good tip.

The woman hurried over, looking happy and awake at her job. She kade sure to stay away from the girl's companion.
"All done? Need the check?"

@LolaBug

“Yeah, the check would be great.” Ava nods her head. Once more, Kreja growls at the poor waitress, earning himself a flick on the ear for his poor manners.

Amelia glanced down at the dog, nodded, then scurried off again to yelp the order at the bartender, who huffed and started printing a receipt. The woman went off to grab a few people and sit them down.

@LolaBug

Ava speaks quietly to Kreja, disappointed in his terrible behavior. It's so unlike him. While she waits for the check, she continues to pet the dog. It's an attempt to keep him calm until they're able to get out of the restaurant.

The bartender finished printing the check, plopped in a couple mints for her and stood up himself, stalking across th restaurant and plopping down the menu rather grumpily.
"Thank you for coming," He sighed softly, turned, and walked away again.

@LolaBug

Eyeing the bartender warily, she watches as he plops down the check and stalks away. What a delightful man. With a slight eye roll, she pulls out some money to pay for the meal before standing. “Let’s go, darling.” She tells Kreja as she steps away from the table.
