"Well we're working together now," Cameron reminded lightly with a slight sigh as he started driving. He went slow, as to not bother the dog. He cared about her dog, not her. "And you're acting like you're going to be around me twenty-four seven. Which we're not."

@LolaBug

“I plan on avoiding interacting with you unless absolutely necessary,” Ava tells him, positive that if she spends more than a few hours a day with him, she’ll go crazy. “Before we get there, we need to go over costs. Give me a rough estimate of how much money is needing to repair everything.”

Cameron shook his head. "I really don't understand you. Anyway, before we get there we'll probably have to call a few companies for their opinions on how much it'd take to fix, but with the renovations I'd like to do, I'd guess about five or six thousand. Possibly more." He shrugged.

@LolaBug

“Good. You don’t need to understand me,” Ava says, turning to look out of the window. “I’ll get ten thousand out of the bank. It’s always good to have a little extra money on the side just in case extra shit pops up.” She learned that lesson the hard way. “Do you have an idea of what companies you want to use?”

Christ. Give me someone who isn't tragically misunderstood for more than one minute. "That sounds good. I think we should withdraw the money first before we turn to companies to help us out." He inhaled slowly. "Thanks for helping out."

@LolaBug

“Great. When we call them, make sure to make it clear that there’s a budget. Those assholes are always trying to screw people out of money,” Ava comments, shaking her head. At his next words, she turns to look over at him. The fact that he seems sincere is more than a little baffling. “You’re welcome,” She replies awkwardly.

Cameron let the car fall into awkward silence, swallowing. Lily looked out her window and barked softly at each passing car, turning to Kreja and thumping her tail, leaning forward to snuffle his ears. The noise of her breath on his leathery ears was the only noise in the car.

@LolaBug

Kreja slowly relaxes after a few minutes in the car, Lily's presence really helping with keeping him calm and happy. When she leans over to snuffle his ears, he barks quietly and wags his tail. Ava glances over her shoulder, smiling when she sees how well the dogs are doing.

Lily gently licked one of his ears before getting distracted by the growl of a motorcycle passing at their left. She barked a couple times, until Cameron told her to hush. Lily quieted down and leaned forward towards the second human, sniffing for her hand as if nothing happened.

@LolaBug

Kreja's snaps up when he recognizes the roar of a motorcycle. He scurries over to the window and puts his paws up on it, ears perked up. He barks twice before spinning around and looking over to his owner in excitement. Ava shakes her head in amusement before petting Lily's head.

Lily yelped as she was trampled by the second dog, waving her head around as the second dog hopped around. She straightened towards the human's hand, though, wanting to be pet.

@LolaBug

"Be careful, Kreja," Ava warns the excitable dog. Once he settles back down, she returns her attention to Lily and scratches behind her ears. "Good girl," She praises, still smiling.

Lily barked softly again, leaning forward and standing up. Caneron glanced back at her and she sat again with a faint whine.
"No, Lily, you can't sit up here with us."

@LolaBug

"Sorry, sweet girl, he said no," Ava tells the dog, feeling bad that she isn't allowed in the front seat. "Take a left up here," She tells Cameron, glancing out of the window to see where they are.

Cameron nodded and turned left. Lily barked softly when Ava pulled away and moved after her hand with a faint whine, her droopy nose appearing over her shoulder for more pets.

@LolaBug

Ava turns her head when she feels a dog breathing on her. Grinning, she reaches back and pets Lily's head. "Pull over," She says, realizing where they are. "We have to walk through the alley and go in the back way." That's how the bank figures out which customers are here for which purpose.

Cam sighed and pulled over, stopping the car. "I better not have my car stolen," He warned as he got out to let out Lily, who pulled her muzzle off of the human and bumbled over to the door to be let out.

@LolaBug

"You're not going to get your car stolen," Ava huffs, shaking her head as she gets out of the car. Going around to the back, she opens the door and let's Kreja out. "The bank knows me as Katherine Morrison so while we're inside, use that name to address me. I suggest you come up with a fake name as well, just in case they ask."

Cam sighed softly. "Katherine. Can I just call you Kat? And why would I be here with you? Would I have to pose as something absurd, like your boyfriend or something?" He questioned as he gently helped Lily from the car.

@LolaBug

“I don’t care what you call me as long as it’s a variation of Katherine,” Ava tells him with a shrug. “No, don’t be stupid. If they ask, and they probably won’t, we’ll tell them that we’re business partners,” She says as she reaches down to pet Kreja. “Oh! If you see this symbol, let me know. It means that we need to get the hell out of here.” She grabs a piece of paper and pen and scribbles down the symbol that’s burned onto her wrist.

"Don't be stupid," Cameron mumbled with an eye roll. "If we say we're business partners wha– symbol? Where in the world would I see something like this?" He asked exasperatedly, taking the paper and squinting at the symbol.

@LolaBug

“It’ll be burned onto someone’s wrist,” Ava answers, handing over the paper so he can better examine the symbol. “Seriously, if you see anything that even vaguely resembles this, we need to leave at that very second,” She tells him.

Cameron looked up at her with the same squint he was wearing to look at the symbol. "Alright, then." He folded up the paper and slipped it into his pocket with a sigh. "Come on, then, I guess."

@LolaBug

Some of the tension leaves Ava’s shoulders when he seems to agree to this. She gives a slight nod before turning and heading into the building. Someone greets them at the door and immediately leads them into one of the offices and gestures for them to sit down. “Mr. Gardiner will be with you in a moment,” The man tells them before exiting the room.

Cam yawned widely and stretched when they were sat down, looking down and noticing they brought the dogs. Lily looked up at him and smiled a doggy smile.
"Er… is there a reason we brought the dogs?" He asked quietly, glancing uo away from Lily.

@LolaBug

“This really isn’t the best neighborhood in the city, did you really want to leave them in them out in the car?” Ava questions, taking a seat. “I do a lot of business here, they’re not going to complain if the dogs are inside for a few minutes.”

Cameron sighed and leaned back into his chair. "Why I bother asking you things, I don't know." He closed his eyes a little, deciding to get a moment of eye-resting before stress unfolded on him.

@LolaBug

“You could always just stop asking,” Ava points out, rolling her eyes. A moment later, a tall man dressed in an expensive looking suit steps into the room and introduces himself as Mr. Gardiner. The man greets them before taking a seat at his desk. “Ms. Morrison, it’s a pleasure to see you again,” He says with a smile. “The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Gardiner,” She tells him, returning the smile. After pleasantries have been exchanged, she explains the amount of money she’d like to withdraw and why she needs it. The reason she gives for needing that amount is a lie.

Cameron sat up almost immediately, biting back and exasperated sigh as he gently tugged an excited Lily back into a sitting position. He introduced himself once the time came, raising a hand to the man, introducing himself as Iman Pwers. It was the fake name that belonged to his bank account where all of his hitman-money was stored.

@LolaBug

Ava discusses the money with Mr. Gardiner for a few more minutes before the man excuses himself to go and collect the cash for them. "We're almost done here," She comments to Cameron, absentmindedly petting Kreja's head. Once the cash is in their possession, they can get out of here.
