Jumping over the foot board of the bed, he came around the sheets before dropping onto the floor again. "Alright, what I'm thinking, is we toss one blanket over. Then it'll drape down over both sides. We can use the other blanket to spread out across the floor, and then set up pillows inside. Sound good?"

@gracehustle

She nodded at the plan, scooping up one of the blankets from the floor and glancing at Apollo, "Let's get this one over top of the fort first, I'll go to the other side and throw it over if you can straighten that side out." It was fun to be building something as simple as a fort, even if it took more effort to get up and walk to the other sides of the beds because of being sick. She didn't complain though, just smiled and threw the other edge of the blanket over the beds to her friend.

Apollo nodded, and took the blanket once it was tossed over to his side. Adjusting it so it wouldn't sag in the middle, he lifted his head to give Davina a big smile. "How's that work for you? Does it look good?" He asked her in a light tone. Lifting up the edge of the blanket, he pushed the other blanket and pillows underneath for them to smooth out. If she had a better idea, they could also both reach the stuff better, without having to climb over the beds.

@gracehustle

"That looks good to me," She replied happily, grinning as she walked to the front of the fort and slipped inside, carefully smoothing out the blanket and adjusting the pillows so it looked nice. Building a fort had been a great idea, and she was excited to be inside it, a childlike look of happiness on her face.

Slipping down onto the floor, he barely pushed the blanket used as a wall aside. Peering his head in, he gave her a little smile. "Am I allowed in? Or do I have to wait?" He asked softly, huffing a bit when his curls fell in his face. Though he didn't bother to do anything about it, not at the moment at least.

@gracehustle

Davina just shot a playful smile back, leaning out the opening and looking at him, "What's the password? If you get it right you can come in." She laid down on the smoothed out blanket, even pulling one of the pillows slightly out of the fort to prop her head on as she watched him happily.

"But I don't know the password…" Apollo pouted as he scooted back. Pausing for a moment, he glanced back up at her with a hopeful look. "Is it please?" He asked softly, smiling a little thinking he had gotten it right. If not, then he'd be sitting there for a while until he figured it out.

@gracehustle

"I suppose please works, though the correct password was candy," She said, smiling and sliding back into the fort to leave room for him to come in, "Welcome to the best fort on this side of the hospital hallway." It was an over the top introduction to the small fort, but she couldn't care less. It was fun to do, and so she was going to cling to the happy feeling even if it meant acting silly.

Apollo laughed lightly at her introduction, crawling in after her. "Why thank you. It's nice to get to be here." He hummed softly, planting him on the ground. Leaning back up against the bed, he gave her a soft smile. "I'm glad we can make this a momentous occasion. We'll remember the day we built the best fort for the rest of our lives." He grinned as he joked along to her dramatic introduction.

@gracehustle

Davina laid down on her stomach, propping her head up on her pillow as she looked up at him with the same grin, "This day will do down in history as the time we built the absolute best fort available while in this room, never to be forgotten by either of us." She looked around the relatively small fort, happy to finally have something to do with their free time.

Apollo laughed lightly, crossing his legs. "Huzzah to that, my fair lady. Shall we break into our secret stash of candy, to celebrate?" He asked in a hum, remembering the pack of M&Ms still hidden in the room. They hadn't opened it yet, not wanting to splurge quite yet. But this seemed like the best time to him, considering if someone walked in, they wouldn't see it.

@gracehustle

"I think a celebration sounds amazing, my good sir," She agreed, happy to be in the fort and even more excited to be breaking out the other pack of M&Ms. It had been forever since they had split the last pack, and she was craving chocolate. Davina smiled at him, slowly rolling onto her back and then moving to sit up normally in the fort.

"Then I shall grab it." Apollo hummed, climbing back out of the fort. When he was on his feet, he stood on his bed before reaching up and pushing the loose tile up. When removed, he pulled the spare pack out with a grin, before replacing the tile. "Got it," He stated as he climbed off his bed. "Here you go." He hummed, lightly tossing it to her before crawling in.

@gracehustle

"Thank you, magic boy," Davina replied, her voice sing-songy and happy as she opened the corner of the package and dumped the M&Ms on the blanket. For a minute she seemed to just be pushing them around, but soon it was clear she was sorting out an even number for both of them. That way they would have close to the same number a piece and would be splitting the bag evenly.

"No problem," He hummed in return, adjust himself to be sitting across from her. Apollo watched with interest, smiling lightly as he did. Though slowly his gaze started to shift up to her face. The concentration she had, for something as silly as splitting the M&Ms into two piles, was super cute. But then again he thought a lot of things she did were cute.

@gracehustle

She smiled as soon as she had finished, looking up at her friend and pushing his pile towards him, "There we go, evenly split down to the last M&M." Davina found herself studying his face for a moment, but soon she noticed she was staring and quickly looked away. Her cheeks still held the pink flush on them, but thankfully they weren't too noticeable in the darker fort.

Apollo smiled lightly, picking up a couple of the blue ones. "Why'd you look away?" He asked softly in a mostly teasing tone. "You not like my face or something? I'd find that very disappointing." He hummed a little, resting his chin on one of his palms. Slowly he started to eat the M&Ms, before pushing the green ones aside.

@gracehustle

Davina shook her head, growing flustered and answering even as her face turned even redder. "No, I like your face…you're not bad looking…I mean you're really cute, I..er, I'm going to stop talking," She started, trailing off to a soft whisper at the end and purposely focusing her attention on her pile of candy to keep herself from embarrassing herself more.

"I- really?" Apollo asked softly, feeling his face heat up. He hadn't really expected that- he really on planned for to just deny that she didn't like his face, and they'd move on. But that sure did not happen. "You… you think I'm cute?" He asked in a light tone, still picking at the M&Ms. Not wanting to overthink te compliment, he kept his focus on that.

@gracehustle

"Yeah, I do," She mumbled, hoping her flaming red face was mostly hidden as she focused her attention on the M&Ms, picking out all the red ones and starting to eat those first, "You're really cute." Davina cursed herself internally, knowing she had probably just ruined their friendship even if she had only said she found him cute.

"I- um, thank you." Apollo replied in a light tone, not sure how to take it. It could very well just be a compliment. But it could also be more. Though in light of not getting his hopes up, he dropped the thought and continued to sort out the green M&Ms. "You're pretty cute yourself. It'd surprise me if you said you didn't have a boyfriend… or girlfriend. Whoever you're into."

@gracehustle

"I like guys and I actually don't have a boyfriend," She admitted, shrugging with a half-smile, "I've never had one." Davina pushed the green M&Ms out of her pile and into his, a faint blush on her cheeks again, "What about you? You have a girl or guy you're in a relationship with?" In her mind she knew he most likely had one, it would be stupid to assume he didn't, but at the same time, she hoped he didn't, if only so she had a chance at seeing if her feelings towards him were reciprocated.

"Really? Like I said, that surprises me." Apollo hummed lightly, taking note Davina's question. "Not currently, actually. I had a girlfriend a little while ago… but that didn't really work out." He shrugged a little as a smile pulled up. He didn't want to talk about his ex-girlfriend too much, as he felt it was kind of defeating the purpose of bringing this subject up. She might think something that wasn't true. "But it's in the past. She's kind of mad at me for being so alright with us breaking up."

@gracehustle

"Why did you break up?" She asked, quickly adding, "If you want to tell me that is. If you don't that's fine too." Davina wasn't surprised to hear that he had been in a relationship before, but she was curious as to why it had ended. After all, Apollo was a really nice guy and seemed like he would make a very sweet boyfriend even if he was confined to the hospital.

"Misunderstandings. She was super clingy, and always assumed the worst from me. She never really trusted me." Apollo shrugged a little, not seeming bothered too bad by her questions. As long as Davina wasn't bugged by this, he didn't mind talking about it. With her asking question, he assumed it didn't bug her too bad. "I had this girl I was friends with, and my girlfriend at the time thought I was cheating on her, with my friend. There was no real reason behind her assumption. I'd never done anything similar, before."

@gracehustle

(Ok, I'm going to let you know (Even if I know it sounds like a major excuse), I'm working two jobs over these next two weeks so my replies might be more infrequent, but I promise I don't want this to die and I'll try to reply at least once a day :) )

Davina nodded, listening carefully. "I'm honestly surprised that some people always assume the worst or have so little faith in the person they're with," She said, shaking her head and smiling over at Apollo, "I hope your ex knows she's missing a really amazing person." Even if she had never been in a relationship with Apollo, and probably would never seeing as he probably didn't like her, she knew he was amazing.

(It's all good! I'm totally cool about it. If you want to put this on hold, until then, that's also fine with me! I'm flexible, if there's something that would work best for you, just let me know!)

Apollo shrugged a little, pushing all the green M&Ms to her. "I dunno. I got over it a while ago; she was always so controlling. It was so nice to get a break from her. I'm not sure I could go back." Giving Davina a light smile, he picked at the rest of his candy pile, eating slowly. "You said the green were your favorite." He added on in a light tone.

@gracehustle

(We don't have to put this on hold, I'd be happy to continue even if I'm going to be less active :D)
She smiled, flushing at his added words and pulling the candies into her pile. "You remembered that?" She asked quietly, surprised that he had done something as simple as given her the green M&Ms that she loved. Davina picked through her own, separating the blues from her pile and pushing them towards him, "You liked the blue ones if I remember right."

(Alrighty, then! I just thought I'd offer :3)

"Of course I remembered." Apollo hummed, giving her a bright smile. When she offered him the blue ones, he took them gratefully and put them with the rest of his blues. "We're friends, right? It's silly, but the small things matter the most. In my opinion at least." Pushing his curls back out of his face, he glanced up to her. "And yeah- the blues are my favorite ones."

@gracehustle

"Obviously we're friends," She replied, smiling just as brightly even as she admitted, "I haven't really had anyone in my life who goes out of their way to do the little things, but I agree they matter just as much as anything else." Davina glanced over at him, finding herself studying his face again and getting lost in his gree-blue eyes.
