Her cheeks flushed at the compliments but she nodded, smiling quite happily, "I really like hearing about your life too, you're a super interesting person." She thought back to when she had figured out the meal, closing her eyes as she started to describe it, "I think the best last meal for me would be a mix of things. A small slice of cheesy lasagna, a perfectly made burrito on the side, some barbecue chips, endless lemonade for a drink, and of course desert." She paused for a moment and opened her eyes, laughing a little, "All while binge watching Marvel movies."
"We'll go on an adventure, when we escape these prison walls!" (Closed)
His smile was soft, and warm, as Davina spoke. Her voice was just so soothing to Apollo, he felt entranced by her. It was the silly things that he liked the most. The thought and devotion she had put into this, was rather impressive. Though her last sentence came, and he blinked a few times. "Did you just say… You're a Marvel fan too!?" He asked excitedly, standing up straight with a grin. "I love those movies!"
(I'm so sorry it's taking me so long to respond, life has gotten crazy lately, with track and finals, I promise I'll try to be more consistent after friday (That's when finals are))
"Yeah, I am." She said, a bright smile coming to her face as she looked up at him, "I'm guessing you are too? What's your favorite Marvel movie?" Finding someone that liked the same movies as her made her ecstatic, and it just made her want to get to know Apollo even more.
(You're all good! If you need to put this on hold until then (or even longer!) just let me know :3)
"Oh goodness, you're making me choose…" He laughed, trying to pick out which he liked the best. But he just couldn't. "I honestly think I like all of them! I don't think I could possibly pick one over the other. There may be one or two I didn't like though…" He admitted, digging his foot into the solid ground as he thought.
(I don't think I'll need to put it on hold, though my responses will probably not be as frequent)
Davina listened with genuine interest, realizing she really didn't have a favorite Marvel movie either. There were too many good movies. "What ones didn't you like?" She asked, swinging her legs gently and letting a curious smile drift onto her face.
(Alright, just let me know if you do.)
It didn't even take him 2 seconds to answer. "The second Thor. No doubt." He nodded, crossing his arms over his chest. "I never like Jane Foster, that much at least. So having 50% of the movie revolving around her, and a ton of other things, it wasn't my favorite for sure."
Delia nodded, thinking about the movie for a second and nodding again. "Yeah, the only good parts of that movie were with Loki in them in my opinion." She said, finding herself smiling a little, "For a movie named Thor, it really focused more on Jane. She wasn't my favorite either. Any other ones you don't like?"
"Not really. I'm assuming you didn't like Captain Marvel though?" He asked, tapping his foot on the floor curtly, his face falling to a more subdued expression. "I know a ton of people hated that movie, which I still don't understand why."
"I actually didn't mind it, the fight scenes were fun." She admitted, smiling and looking up at him, "What did you think of it?" Davina did know a lot of people didn't like the movie, but she did, she especially liked Goose. The only thing she didn't like was that Captain Marvel was pretty overpowered in her opinion.
"I liked it, it was different. Though for being the first female super hero movie, I guess it was kind of a let-down." He sighed, rubbing his face. Feeling drained, he fell back into the sheets, yawning loudly. "It wasn't my favorite, but not my least at all."
She nodded, "Yeah, it was a slight letdown, I think my favorite part about it besides the fight scenes though was probably Goose. She reminded me slightly of the cat my grandma used to have, they had almost the same coat colors." She swung her legs for a moment longer before standing up, her legs almost bucking once but she didn;t fall as she stood and started walking around.
"That's cute." He laughed, watching her pace. For some odd reason, he felt compelled to stand and scoop her up. Though he didn't. He just watched her go back and forth. "Has anyone told you you're really pretty?" He asked in a blurt, trying not to even think about what he had said. If he did, he would start stammering, and blushing. He really didn't want that.
Davina's face flushed at his question, and her pacing quickened ever so slightly as she shook her head, "Actually no, no one has ever said that to me." She tried to stop herself as she looked over at him, a shy smile breaking onto her face as she quickly looked away and instead became very interested in the floor as she walked around.
“Well you are, and now you’ve had someone tell you so.” He shrugged, leaving it at that. Saying not another word of it, he changed topics to something different to distract himself. “Where did you go to school?”
"Smaller town on the outskirts of the city, Clearwater?" She said, saying the name of the school as a question to see if he recognized it, "Where did you go?" The answer was easy and didn't stop her from thinking about what he had just said at all, and as her face grew redder, she found herself blurting out, "You're really pretty too..well, not pretty, but..I mean you are pretty..I-I mean you're really good looking, that's what I meant." Immediately she looked thoroughly embarrassed and took that as her cue to sit back down, taking a seat by her puzzle again so she could focus on something other than him and just how cute he actually was.
"Oh really? My brother…" Though he didn't finish his thought. His face grew incredibly red, and he felt like he was burning. The longer she talked, the more flustered he was getting. "You… you really think… think that?" He asked softly, biting into his lips with a red skin tone. Pushing himself off the bed, he shuffled over to where she was sitting. "Like… like really, you do?"
Davina's face was bright red and she nodded, looking up slowly from her puzzle and letting herself fiddle with a random piece to contain her nervousness. "Yeah, I really do," She said, a tiny smile slowly becoming visible on her burning red face.
Sitting himself besides her, he looked into her gorgeous eyes with a smile. "T-thank you, honestly." He whispered, looking down at the puzzle pieces. "I'm terrible with compliments, so I'm sorry if I'm being odd."
"It's no problem," She said gently, putting the piece in her hand into its place and smiling at him, "If anything I should be thanking you for having to deal with me and my crappy compliments." Her fingers drummed against the floor and she busied herself with a new piece, humming softly.
"Trust me, I'm normally just as bad." He chuckled, reaching over and tapping a spot on the puzzle. He didn't even know what he was doing, he just let words slip pass his lips. "It goes there." Apollo mindlessly pointed out, tapping once more before pulling back. Letting his thoughts catch up, he sighed looking at her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to do that."
Davina just nodded when he pointed out where it went, not saying anything even if the action irked her. "It's alright." She said, offering a small smile as she put the piece into place and scooped up another one, "You can help build again if you want." It was difficult to keep herself from looking over at him, mostly since she kept getting lost in his eyes every time they locked eyes.
Apollo gave her a half smile in return, picking up a piece. "You sure you don't mind? I don't want to take your thing away." He asked drumming his finger on his knee, a slight nervous tick. The boy always felt bad for anything he ever did, if it impacted negatively. "I really understand if you'd rather do it alone."
"No, I don't mind at all," She replied, her smile growing as she put the next piece into its place, "Two people working on this would make it go much faster." It really didn't bother her if he worked on the puzzle, and in all reality, she would most likely have asked him to join her puzzle building after a few minutes.
(I feel like I started something… do they have to corona virus???)
Apollo let his smile come back, sitting cross legged. "Awesome! Honestly it's a great distraction, I think the room is starting to get to me…" He mumbled, scooting closer to her so he could place the piece he was holding. He hated isolation, even if he was an introvert. He wanted to be alone, but outside, or in his bedroom. Somewhere he enjoyed.
(XD I dunno)
Davina nodded, noticing when he scooted closer but not doing anything to scoot away from him, "Yeah, this room is already too small of a space, I wish they gave us room to walk around more." She could agree with him on that easily, this room was getting to her as well and being cooped up in here was going to get real old real fast. At least having a roommate made it slightly easier since it gave her someone to talk to and made the time pass faster.
(lol, it seems like it)
Stretching out in his place, his smaller body seemed elongated when he did. "Same here, even with the space they've given, I feel compressed." Apollo laughed out loud, running a hand through his short, dark curls. A smile was on his face, despite the situation they were in. Stuck in a small room, but stuck with an awesome girl as a roommate. He felt pretty lucky.
Having Apollo as a roommate was even better than just a normal roommate, he actually seemed interested in talking to her and building puzzles together immediately bumped him to the top of her list..plus she wouldn't deny that his looks or the mutual liking of each other was a big plus. Davina smiled and nodded, reaching across the puzzle and putting a piece in place while trying her best to brush against Apollo as little as possible. She didn't want to barge into his personal space, "Yeah, I wish we could at least walk around the halls without having to worry about getting caught, that would even be better than being just stuck in here all the time."
He gave her a smile, with a light laugh. "If we got the door open, we could try and run around out there. We'd just want to wear our masks." He hummed, clearing his throat in a slight cough. "I'd be up to it, if you went with me~" He sang out, leaning closer to her with a smirk. "Waddya say? You in?"
She couldn't hide the grin that came to her face at the suggestion and she pretended to think about it for a moment before bumping shoulders with him. "I'll do it as long as you don't chicken out." She said, sitting for a few seconds before getting up with only a little struggle. Her eyes held an excited look and she held her hand out to help him up even if it wasn't much help since she wasn't the strongest, especially since being sick.
Pulling himself up, with her help, Apollo shuffled over to his bed to pick up the mask he had left astray. "I won't, as long as we go quickly." He hummed, adjusting it on his face. Shuffling up to the door, he turned to look at her. "Come on, go grab your mask." He directed her, looking at the door handle with a creased eyebrow.
