"You owe me nothing, dear. I'm just returning to the world what it's already given to me!" she smiled, holding the box of clothes out. "And if you don't want them, I'm sure some other girls around here would accept them. But I'd just thought, after I ruined your one dress, that you'd want something I could give you. After all, you can't just keep walking around in my clothes."

"I…" She studied the dresses for a moment. She really did need new clothes, and these looked lovely, so…why not? "I'll…I shall take them, then, and see if Tiffany needs some." She carefully took the dresses from Anna. "Thank you so much, though. You really didn't have to do this for me."
"Good! I'm so glad I could get you something nice!" she clapped her hands a bit, a wide smile on her face. "I do hope you wear them well. Well, I need to leave, so please do not bother dawdling on my part." she nodded, turning away to walk down the hallway.
"Oh, alright. Bye then!" She waved a little, and took the clothes back to her room. After a few minutes, though, she decided she wanted some fresh air, and headed back towards the main doors, wanting to go out for a walk.
Anna had gotten into a tough spot. Two men, much bigger than her had cornered her and were shouting, mostly incoherent but also things along the lines of "a woman who dresses the way you do deserves the worst," and "it's just not right for devil-worshipping harlots like you to be walking about the streets, where they could practice their voodoo magic on anyone they pleased," both of those statements with way too much to unpack. Needless to say, she was being harassed, and while she could normally take a man about her height and build, she was helpless except to wait out the shouting and hope nothing too bad happened, lest she may need to close down her practice.
Elanor heard shouting, and turned the corner. When she saw what was happening, she was suddenly glad that her sword was strapped at her side, because that meant she could draw it and come striding over, holding it up. "Let her go and walk away, and no one gets hurt." She said, movements swift and flowing, with the easy grace of someone who knew exactly how to wield a weapon.
"We don't mean no harm, ma'am." one said quickly, but the other stepped forward, holding out a broad hand in front of him. "Wait a second. That's the strange woman we saw creeping through the streets like a bloody little rat not two nights ago. You're a foreigner, eh? Can tell by the accent." he lowered his hand. "We don't take kindly to your type 'round here."
Elanor narrowed her eyes, stepping forward again, the tip of the sword flicking towards the man in a smooth, almost liquid motion. "You are correct; I am of Denmark, not London, but I really do not care how you take to foreigners around here." She said, voice crisp and clear despite the accent that put a lilt into her voice.
He jumped back, quickly, then moved to charge like some massive bull. Now that there was only one, Anna was able to kick the other in the groin and send him sprawling. "That's for all the shit you pulled earlier, and that-" she kicked him in the teeth, "-is for harassing one of my patients."
Elanor smiled just a little bit, looking at Anna and lowering her sword a little, but not yet sheathing it. "Are you alright?" She queried. "Those men didn't…they didn't do anything to you, did they?" Her eyes flashed to the man on the ground, prepared to stab him if he had hurt Anna.
The other had run away after being threatened with a sword, and Anna shook her head. "No, I'm fine. Thanks to… you." she blushed, realizing how brave Elanor had been for her, how she'd taken care of her. "You're very good with a sword." she acknowledged.
Elanor smiled a little, sheathing the sword with a nod. "Thank you." She replied, tucking back a loose strand of hair that had gotten into her face. "I'm glad I could help out." He added after a moment.
(So, you might have noticed in the other chat that my parents deleted my account on here…. wanna continue this or no?)
(I'd love to, if you come back again)
(it is i the frenchiest fry. back again. You'll see my weird explanation of everything that's going on in the gay-thic RP.)
(I saw your explanation! Welcome back :)
(I'll post a reply soon.)
(alright!)
Elanor smiled a little, sheathing the sword with a nod. "Thank you." She replied, tucking back a loose strand of hair that had gotten into her face. "I'm glad I could help out." He added after a moment.
"Well. Um, would you like to go out for a drink? It's the best way I can think to pay you back, and I can also pay back Boston finally, get a drink at her bar. It's killing two birds with one stone?" she smiled weakly. "Well, I'd hate to be all multi-tasking on you, but I would like to repay you somehow."
She smiled lightly. "Mm, sure, if you're sure about it?" She raised an eyebrow at Anna, not wanting to pressure the other woman into anything. Even though Anna had been the one to offer, Elanor hated feeling like she was pressuring anyone into something.
"Only if you want to!" she said, waving her hands back and forth. "I would never force you to do something you don't want to do." she said, blushing somewhat. She was doing that a lot more now, and she couldn't quite tell why.
El smiled lightly. "I'd love to." She replied, ducking in a little curtsey to Anna, smiling at the taller woman. "Shall we?" She held out her arm to link elbows with the other woman, blue eyes alight as she looked over at her.
Anna took her arm, hiding her face for it had fully warmed now. "Yes, let's." she said through her calloused hand, looking about the streets to make sure they were safe before leading the way to a surprisingly well-kept establishment just a little down the street.
Elanor walked beside her, her sword hilted at her side. It drew some odd looks from those who thought women shouldn't wield weapons, especially men, who narrowed their eyes at this blond slip of a girl with the sword at her side.
Anna pushed open the doors, and led Elanor into the dimly lit room, where scantily-clad men and women alike were serving drinks to patrons, dancing on the stage, and chatting up customers before taking them to back rooms in a professional yet very obvious manner. "Don't worry, you won't get harassed here. Boston's clients are very professional about these sorts of things, and they'll treat you well. They… know I made a bet with Boston, and while it wouldn't do well for my reputation to be seen here I suppose fulfilling this promise wouldn't hurt."
Then, she realized her folly. "Oh god, I just pulled you into Boston's bar without thinking through the consequences of my actions, and I've probably scarred you for life. Um, please don't hate me?" she said quickly, ashamedly.
Elanor's brows had crawled up slightly when they entered, and she took a moment to collect herself before replying. "I…" She cleared her throat. "It's fine." She said. Her father was probably rolling in his grave at this, but then, he probably rolled in his grave about everything she had done in the past few weeks. "I could never hate you."
"Alright. We can leave if you want t-" but Boston had already spotted the two, and was now approaching. "Darlings! How are you, El?" she said, slinking over in her dress, ripped to show off nearly all of her legs, but longer in the back so that it swept the floor, and made both to reveal, and also to imply the imminence of revelation. "I'm so glad you could make it, Anna. You know how I love seeing your shining face."
El gave a quick smile. "I'm, uhm, fine, thanks." She said, seeming just a little bit awkward but doing her best to keep from showing it or offending Boston. As a result, El seemed ill-at-ease, but only in an awkward way, not in an offensive, rather-be-anywhere-else way.
"Oh, dear. You don't have to pretend this doesn't provoke you at least a little." she said to El, but it wasn't trying to be seductive or an innuendo or anything. She was really just trying to communicate that she cared about Elanor's needs, and would let her leave if needed. "Anna, I'm just about to start my show, do you mind helping Esther? She's got a sprain and still insists on going on tonight. Sorry if this is so impromptu, Elanor can come to the back if she needs to rest too."
El gave a faint smile. "It's, ah, fine. I'm just…not used to things like this." She gestured vaguely to the room, taking a deep breath and adjusting her sword belt, just for something to do with her hands.
