and maybe the bartender is a singer/songwriter, the regular plays a musical instrument (maybe sometimes they even play it at the bar?) but the instrument player is extremely depressed and their instrument is one of their only sources of happiness, until one day it just becomes too much
on the days leading up to the person attempting suicide, they're drinking heavily and the bartender notices, and they get worried when they don't show up one day/they show up and disappear in the bathroom for far too long
