Her breath hitched in her throat, letting her hand go. She willed herself not to cry.

Connor and Noah walked by in the direction of the studio. "I'm going to the studio," Kayla said as she walked away. She caught up with the couple and put her arm around Connor's elbow.

Megan shifted her body weight over and over as she stood at the microphone, still distressed from earlier.

Kayla led the song, and she waited for the music to start. For this musical, she wanted to use songs from other places and relate them to the story.
