“Are you sure you don’t want toast or something?”
"You DO like me!" "I don't think 'like' is the right word." "You tolerate me." "Maybe." one on one
"Yeah, I'm not hungry. Are you almost ready to go?" He asked.
"Yeah." She stood up and pushed in her chair, dropping a five-dollar bill on the table.
Lin headed outside with Orion and got into the car, buckling himself in with a soft sigh.
She started the car and began driving to the edge of town, just to see what it would look like from the outside.
Lin glanced around curiously, unfamiliar with the area. "Where are we going?" He asked curiously.
“Around. To see the town from outside.”
"Alright… is it different from the outside than the inside?" He asked, confused.
“I don’t know. I suppose we shall find out.”
"I suppose so." Lin watched out the window quietly, resting his chin on the knuckles of one hand.
“You alright with that?”
"Yeah, sure. It's not like I've got plans or anything." Lin shrugged.
Orion laughed. “Alright, then.”
"We should do something… fun, I dunno. Other than just submitting applications."
"Like what? Oh, I know! We should go to the arcade."
"Arcade? Ah, sure. If you want to." Lin shrugged a bit. "I'm not very good at games, though."
"I'm not either. Well, I'm good at Tekken, but that's really it."
"What's Tekken about?" He asked curiously. "I don't think I've heard of it."
“It’s like a fighting simulator and you’re like a dojo master.”
"Interesting. Sounds fine to me." He shrugged.
"Cool!" Orion stopped the car for a moment and began looking on her phone for directions to the arcade.
Lin watched her curiously to see how far it was from where they were, keeping quiet for now.
Orion finally found what she wanted and put the car in drive. “They have the best pizza at arcades.”
"If you say so. I wouldn't really know." Lin shrugged. "We can get some there if you want."
"Yessss. OOOO and soda!"
"Yeah, sure. Whatever you want to do is fine."
“Yay,” she sang, pulling into the arcade parking lot.
Lin looked up at the arcade curiously and got out of the car, waiting for Orion before he headed inside.
"Alrighty!" Orion went inside and began feeding dollar bills into the exchange machine.
Lin watched the process quietly, seeming pretty confused, but not doing anything for the moment.
