Nik's hands clenched into fists, and he felt a strong urge to punch the god sitting near him.

Derlik smirked a little.
"Or maybe you really should be my Swiss Army knife. Able to be used however I please."
Nik's jaw clenched so hard he was afraid that he would crack a tooth. He didn't speak, closing his eyes and trying not to throw a punch. Because he knew that wouldn't lead to anything good, but god it would be satisfying.

"Of course, that might end up including something you don't want to do~" Derlik smiled brightly, a maniac look in his eyes. He loved how riled up he was getting Nik.
"Stop it." Nik said slowly, not looking at the god.

"No," Derlik said in response. "I don't want to, so I don't have to." He smirked.
Nik opened his eyes, looking up at the sky and letting out a breath.

Derlik leaned towards Nik a bit.
"You'll be hearing that again. Probably when I'm fucking you~"
Before he could really think about what he was doing, his fist came up and swung straight for Derlik's nose.

The punch connected, and Derlik's head snapped back. He pulled back, hand going up to his nose. Blood was already coming from it, but it wasn't red. It was like oil, black as it oozed out. Twili grabbed ahold of Nik, pulling him back with a terrified look in her eyes.
Nik bit his lip, unsure what to do. He hadn't really meant to punch Derlik…but he didn't regret it either.

Derlik looked up, slowly moving Smoke off his lap.
"You shouldn't have done that," he growled. Twili was shaking. Derlik stood slowly, towering over Nik. For a moment, it didn't look like he was doing anything. Then, he swiftly kicked Nik in the head, barely holding back enough to not kill him.
Nik let out a grunt as he stumbled back, and then fell, seeing stars. He pushed himself up on his hands, breathing shakily.

Twili knelt with Nik, looking up at Derlik pleadingly. Derlik ignored her, kicking Nik's stomach.
"He's going to learn," he aid, voice cold and sharp.
(Okay, but what if Smoke sees the punishment for hurting Derlik, and later Derlik is playing with Smoke in human form and Smoke accidently scratches his cheek and freaks out, but Derlik isn't mad and trying to calm him down?)
Smoke paced anxiously, tail twitching and ears flattened against his skull. Nik whined faintly, curling in on himself in an attempt to protect himself.

Derlik grabbed Nik's hair, dragging him up.
"You think it's okay to hit me? Then fight back, you worthless mortal."
Nik yelped painfully, standing and trying to get his hair from Derlik's grip.

Derlik let go of Nik's hair, then punched him in the nose.
Nik ducked back, one hand flying to cup his nose, which had started to bleed.

Derlik glared at Nik.
"Are you going to try to hit me again?" He said coldly.
Nik closed his eyes, and didn't respond. His torso was sore and aching, and he knew that if he pulled his shirt up there'd be a bruise forming.

"Well?" Derlik stepped forward, grabbing Nik's chin and forcing him forward.
Nik flinched, pulling back and tucking his arms protectively around his body.

"Answer. Me." Derlik growled, ready to hit Nik again.
"No." he said finally, looking down at his feet.

"Good boy." Derlik gently patted Nik's cheek.
"Now go in the river. It should fix you right up."
Nik clenched his jaw a little bit. "And what if I don't?" he challenged.

"You don't have a choice." Derlik grabbed Nik by the back of his shirt, tossing him into the water.
Nik yelped as he hit the water, eyes wide.
