Nik cautiously sat down across from Derlik, fidgeting for a moment.

Derlik looked up a moment as a waitress brought over their menus and asked what they wanted to drink.
"Coffee," Derlik said, looking at Nik.
Nik shrugged. "I…guess a coffee is fine."

The waitress left, and Derlik looked over the menu.
"Anything you want you can get," he said. Most of the food was sugary, of course. The waitress returned with their coffee, and finally they were alone.
Nik nodded a little, looking at the menu.

Derlik smiled slightly as he looked through the menu, settling on a pancakes stack with bacon.
Nik was quiet, tapping his foot just a little bit as he examined the menu.

Derlik set his menu to the side, humming faintly as he waited.
Nik eventually picked out what he was going to get, closing the menu and setting it down.

Derlik looked up, offering a soft smile. The waitress came over, turning to Nik first.
Nik ordered some pancakes with a faint smile, looking up at the waitress.

Derlik ordered for himself, the waitress offering them both smiles before leaving. Derlik picked the small Smoke out of his pocket, gently nudging the boy to wake him up.
Smoke grumbled tiredly, shifting and not waking up.

"Smoke," Derilk said softly. "Breakfast is on it's way." he smiled softly, Smoke held in his hand.
Smoke whined, curling up a little and making a sleepy grumbling sound.

"Smoooke," Derlik said. He set Smoke down on the cool table, nudging him again.
Smoke whined again, opening one eye to peer up at Derlik.

Derlik chuckled softly.
"Morning, sleepyhead. We're about to eat breakfast, it's time to wake up."
Smoke sighed faintly, sitting up and rubbing his eyes tiredly.

Derlik patted Smoke's head gently.
"Did you sleep well?" he asked.
He nodded a little bit. "Mhm."

"Good. You ready for breakfast?" As if on cue, the waitress arrived. She set down their food, not seeming to notice the small cat boy sitting on the table.
Smoke looked up at the waitress curiously, shifting a little bit.

Derlik nodded to the waitress with a smile as she left, turning to Smoke and Nik.
"Ready to eat?" he asked.
Nik nodded a little.

Derlik took a bit of his pancakes and bacon from his own food, setting it on a napkin and sliding it over to Smoke. He hummed a bit, starting to eat and expecting the other two to follow suit.
Smoke looked at the food, which was bigger than he was. "Uhm…" he looked up at Derlik, unsure. Nik started to eat quietly.

"You don't have to eat it all," Derlik said. "And I can make it smaller if you need." He patted Smoke's head a bit.
Smoke nodded faintly, and cautiously broke off a piece of the bacon, starting to nibble at it.

Derlik ate quietly, smiling a bit. He enjoyed the food here, and hoped Nik and Smoke did too.
