Seth sighed. He knew how it felt to lose people you love. "How did she die?" He just rocked Hiro gently, sitting up. He started to hum a low lullaby.

Hiro choked. "S-She was shot…B-By my dad…" He hiccuped and held on to him tighter. "I could've saved her…But i didn't…"

Seth let out a snarl before he could stop himself. He cleared his throat. "I'm gonna guess it wasn't an accident, was it?"

He shook his head. "He hated her after having me…Even though I'm human he called me the devil's child…That I was a mistake…"

Seth ground his teeth as he took deep breaths through his nose. This was hitting uncomfortably close to home, but stayed quiet. "Why on earth did he think that? Why the hell would he say devil's child?"

"I wasn't even supposed to be born. My mom wasn't able to have kids and I just showed up. Nothing special happening…Thus I was called the devil's child…He thought I was a demon because of my unexpected appearance…"

'Dammit, now I wanna kill this awful guy. How could he do that to Hiro as a child? How is Hiro still even functioning?' "Did he get caught?" Seth asked quietly, stroking Hiro's hair.

"Luckily…But that doesn't make the fact that he killed my mother ok." He said his voice going sour. He was crying worse now.

"Maybe 8…Not sure anymore…" Hiro loosened his grip and looked at him. "I know i was pretty young…I thought she was just asleep. I said. 'Mom wake up…Mommy answer me.' then he said 'Child she won't wake up. She's dead.' way to ruin a child's FUCKING life."

Seth almost snorted. He knew that all too well. He leaned forward and kissed Hiro on the forehead though. "Was she nice? Your mom?"

"She was the one who told me to always be happy…Even if life was to bring me down. So when I was sad I'd fake a smiled…Like the day before yesterday."

Seth immediately snapped to attention at the last statement. "What do you mean, "like the day before yesterday"?"

When I faked that smiled and you called me a liar." He states remembering his exact words. "It was weird for someone easily know I was faking it."

Seth thought and searched through his memory banks. "Oh yeah!" He chuckled. "Well, I'd have to say my Empathy comes in handy. Why were you upset that day anyway?"

"The same thing happened. A dream." He hid his face and snuggled close to Seth. "My mom's death still haunts me to this day…"

Seth held him tight. "How often do you get this nightmare?" He kissed Hiro's cheek.

"A lot…More than good dreams…"

Seth sighed. "Maybe I can do something to help?" He felt more helpless than he ever really felt before. He just wanted to make Hiro feel better, and he didn't even know how to do that.

"Like what?" Hiro stared at him. Even though Seth was older he did look like a seventeen-year-old. "You really do look like you're seventeen."

Seth shrugged and then sighed at the last comment, shaking his head with a smile. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" He grinned. "I will appear to stop aging at about the physical state of a 25 year old human."

"That means you'll forever look younger than me." He said laughing. "I guess that means imma look like an old man while you stay looking young."

(OH!!! AHAH! I haven't seen a ton of Heathers, so I didn't get it. That's funny though!)

Seth tilted his head. "No. You won't." He smiled and rocked Hiro happily.

"Yes, I will. When I'm 40 I'll start going grey." He said laughing a little. "Still. I love you. More than you'd ever know." he kissed Seth softly then hugged him tightly.

Seth laughed. "No. Seriously! You're not gonna age anymore as long as you're my-" He cut himself off and flushed furiously.

"Your?" He stared at him confused. He then got an idea. "I won't age as long as I'm your mate right?" He asked quietly hoping he was right.

Set blushed harder but nodded. "Y-yeah…" He looked away, afraid that Hiro might make fun of him now.

"I was right. I guess that means I'll never age." He leans in and kisses Seth.

Seth squeaks when Hiro kissed him. He had never kissed anyone before so he wasn't quite sure how it worked… He pressed his lips back a bit and closed his eyes, moving his lips along with Hiro's.

Hiro smiled and placed a hand on Seth's cheek. He was happy with this. He felt like hs life has been completed. Like the hole, he had in his heart just vanished. He knew Seth had to be the cause of this.
