He nodded quickly. "Definitely." Still slightly shocked, he allowed his eyes to travel around the beautiful room.
A Lady In Armour // one-on-one // closed
Myrah pulled a string two times. It rang down in the kitchen and the chefs began preparing a meal for the princess to travel to her room. Myrah rang it a second time, and they began to prepare a second meal. Unsure as to why, but figured one of the nobles' children was here with her.
Noah's eyes widened slightly. "Wow– how does that work??"
"The string connects to a bell in the kitchen. That alerts the chefs that I'm hungry and I want lunch and they then prepare the food," Myrah said as if she was explaining another dull aspect of life, "Then a maid will come and bring the food up."
Noah felt like a child all over again. “That’s so interesting… Whoah..”
Myrah shrugged, "I suppose. I've never really thought twice about it."
"Really?" He blinked, then laughed lightly. "Sorry, this is all very new to me.."
"It's fine," Myrah laughed. She walked to the door as one of the maids knocked against it. SHe thanked the mad, took the two trays and walked back to Noah, "Here you go. Lunch, princess style."
Noah stared at the huge quantity of food. “All of this for me?! Really?”
Myrah laughed a little, "Not all of it, but yes for you."
"Even half of this is a lot.. wow… This is more than eat over the span of two days.."
Myrah looked at the two trays, "Oh. I'm sorry, I should've just asked for one then."
"I'm not complaining," he laughed, "I'm just surprised. Pleasantly so. This looks delicious."
Myrah giggled a little and handed one to Noah, "Then eat up. I didn't just get this for us to stare at."
Noah did, in fact, stare at it for a second or two before taking a tentative bite.
Myrah smiled waiting for what Noah thought of it. She took a bite of her own enjoying the rich flavors.
A delicious taste bloomed on his tongue, causing his eyes to widen like saucers.
Myrah giggled a little, "Do you like it?"
“Definitely.” He nodded earnestly.
Myrah smiled brightly, "Great!"
Noah wolfed down his meal quickly but neatly, taking care not to make a mess.
Myrah took her time eating, making sure not to drop anything. She looked to Noah who had already finished and giggled a little.
Noah blushed, glancing away. “Sorry,” he mumbled, embarrassed.
Myrah laughed sligjtly, “No don’t be. I’m glad you enjoyed the food.”
“That’s putting it mildly,” he joked, smiling.
Myrah's eyes lit up, "Really? That's perfect!"
“How come?” He asked, slightly confused.
"Because this is what you'll be eating from now on," Myrah explained a bit shyly.
“I’m definitely glad for that,” he chucked.
Myrah finished eating her food and smiled a little, “I’m glad for it too.”
