Lightning was quiet for a long moment, then opened her eyes and looked around, crawling across the bed curiously.

Charlotte sat up, startled, before looking around and smiling, slowly laying back down. "You are absolutely adorable. I'm sorry for being rude to you earlier," she told the creature with a sigh. She was sorry for a lot of things.
Lightning chirruped back at her, like she was replying to Charlotte's words, then kept exploring the bed, sniffing at things.
Charlotte sighed and considered going for her bag again. She managed to remember that she had absolutely nothing of any interest in there, and stared at the ceiling boredly.
Lightning climbed up one of the posts of the bed, claws scraping against the wood. She climbed all the way to the top, and balanced there a little precariously.
Charlotte looked over and shot up. "Lightning! You're going to fall!" She picked up the small creature and placed her back down on the mattress.
Lightning chirped softly, flicking her tail and looking around again. She started exploring the bed again, curious. Quinn stuck his head out of the bathroom. "Hey, I uh…left my clothes in here…can you grab them for me? They're on that chair." he pointed.
Charlotte turned bright crimson, bolting off the bed and grabbing the pile of clothes. She walked to the bathroom and handed them to Quinn, staring hard at the ceiling.
He had a towel wrapped around his waist, so it wasn't as if she could see anything but his upper body. and his calves, but most people don't really care about calves. "Thanks." He said, taking the clothes. He raised an eyebrow slightly. "Darling, I'm not naked. You don't have to stare at the ceiling so hard."
Charlotte shook her head, turning around. "I don't - " she broke off with a strangled sort of noise and walked back to the bed to play with Lightning.
He shook his head slightly, and went back into the bathroom to change. Lightning was still climbing all over the bed, curious.
"Lightning, could you calm down? You're making it worse," she scooped up the little animal and petted her lightly before placing her back on the bed and curling into a small ball.
Lightning made a soft noise, nosing at her curiously. Quinn kept changing.
"Hey Lightning, wanna help me be a bitch again?" She mumbled, gently petting her again. Lightning was softer than Charlotte had anticipated.
Lightning made a soft noise. Her fur was indeed very soft and thick, made for staying warm even in the wintertime. The golden glow dimmed and brightened with the little creature's breaths.
"Is that a no, then?" Charlotte muttered, picking at the blanket.
Lightning was quiet, staying snuggled up to her.

Charlotte sighed and clutched her stomach with one hand. "Maybe I'm just hungry," she wondered vaguely.
Quinn came out of the bathroom, his black hair still wet, sticking up a bit. Lightning chirped slightly.
Charlotte looked up briefly before immediately curling back up with a quiet sigh.
He sat down on the bed. "Thanks for giving me my clothes." He said.
Charlotte nodded blankly. "Not a problem," she mumbled.
He frowned slightly. "Are you alright?"
Charlotte nodded. "Fine," she mumbled again, still not looking up.
He frowned slightly. "I don't believe you." He replied simply. Lightning chittered softly, snuggling close to her.
"How unfortunate that must be for you," she responded drily.
He sighed softly, leaning back on the bed and closing his eyes.
Charlotte stared at Lightning blankly and didn't say anything.
