A Safe Place (A few more male characters would be nice)

Trini watched, knowing that they wouldn't remember she was there, and also not caring one bit.

"I am what Charlie and Nelly call a 'Impudent and forever unruly, rude, and incorrigible tomboy.' They don't like me."

"hate to ask but, who's Charlie and Nelly?" Josh began to wind up a music box, it kept him calm

"Stupid foster parents." Ellen said, tugging at a stray curl of hair. "Hate me to pieces."

"sorry about that… any one else want to share somethin'? ya don't have to but, it looks like we're gonna be here a while."

Sucorra paused, turning to look at Josh. "I have nothing to share," she proclaimed quietly, before heading off.

"fine, like i said, you don't have to." Josh walked back to his room

Paige sighed and nibble on the corner of her chocolate. "I should… go," she whispered to Tara.

"Why don't we go outside? We can explore and and check out the tree houses!" Tara asked.

"Half of them are broken," Trini said, saying something for the first time since she got there.

Tara's head shot over to Trini. "What is broken?"

"The tree houses," Trini said, with the tone of duh.

Evaline finally wandered into the kitchen to greet all the kids. "Yeah there was a bad storm recently. We'll get them fixed soon."

Paige looked up when Evaline entered, but she still stayed quiet - the "blending into the background" type.

A small mechanical spider drone drops from the ceiling and Josh's voice is heard from a speaker on top of the drone "don't smash this… i just got it up and working… this thing took 3 months to make." a camera extends from top and looks around

Paige recoiled slightly from the robot. "Oh my gosh…"

"Cute," Trini said, then went back to scrolling through Instagram.

Paige took a deep breath. Social interaction was not her forte. "What are you looking at?"

"Spider. It's cute."

"I meant, on your phone." Paige bit her lip. Nope, no. I am not good at this.

Tara put her arm around Paige gently. "Let's go outside." She whispered.

The spider droid climbed around and crawled on the wall next to Tara "could you take him with you, he needs to calibrate the outside world… if you don't he'll just crawl around on the grass outside anyway… you're choice…"

"I'll do it," Trini said, walking over and sticking her finger out.

"alright." the spider drone crawls onto Trini's hand "be careful with him, he's still a little jittery…"

"It's so cute," She half squealed. "It'd be cuter if it was a lion, but anyway."

the camera turns to look at Trini "… i have several questions but i don't really care about asking them…"

"And I wouldn't care about answering them."

the camera 'nods', it just goes up and down "I like you…"
