Orion darts forward and picks up the creature, seemingly scolding it in a language none of them know. As he turns, they finally get a good look at it. It is lithe, with long, oval shaped ears currently laid against its back. Completely black, with startling purple eyes and an almost feline form. The fangs are a bit off-putting though, as is the forked tail twice as long than its body.

Orion's eyes widen at the mention of burning. "Please don't burn him, however feisty he may be. To answer your question, he is a Felspan. Normally they avoid humans, so when he started getting chumsy with people I took him here. His name is Sable." As Orion has been talking, the creature has flipped onto his back in his arms, and twisted its head around to look at the others.
"And you define 'chumsy' as biting people?" Sam asked
Orion's response is rather unsettling. "Sometimes. But mostly I define it as sneaking into houses, destroying things, and scaring people."
Sam rolled his eyes. "Lovely. Sounds like Lillith on a good day."

Lucy made sure to pay attention as she searched through her satchel, eventually finding a vial filled with silver liquid. She brought it to her lips and tipped it back, drinking it quickly. She cleared her throat softly, grimacing at the taste and the pain that increased in the back of her head as the gash began to slowly heal.
