"What?! Why would I-" Tera put her hand on her forehead, "Ah, that's right! Well, to be honest, I'm not a perfect," Tera admitted, "I thought you were, so I lied."
"Really?" Lucas looked around the side of the tree, ears turned back.
"Yeah," Tera nodded and saw the small boy from behind a tree. She folded her wings back and ruffled her feathers like she did when she was nervous.
Well, she seems… imperfect enough… Eloquently put, as always. Shut up! He stood up, but stayed behind the tree with his tail between his legs. Imperfect or otherwise, I still don't know her. Best be cautious.
"So, um, yeah. I guess I'll just… uh, yeah, sorry for interrupting you," Tera said and started to back away, still facing the tree… just in case.
“Why are you here?” Aaliyah asked bluntly.
"Interrupting?" She might've scared me, but I don't believe anything was interrupted. Yeah, and you get scared of everything, scaredy-cat. I'm a dog! Well, partially…
(Thatcher is still sitting down at the edge of the park, but don’t bring him in right now.)
"Ah, well, I was looking for a place to be alone," Tera stopped retreating to answer the second person's question.
“Oh,” Aaliyah said, the person didn’t seem dangerous. But looks can be deceiving.
Lucas looked at Aaliyah, mouthing 'What should we do?'.
"So… yeah… I guess I'll leave you guys alone…" Tera started to back away slowly again.
‘She seems okay.’ Aaliyah mouthed back.
"….w-wait!" Lucas said after hesitating for a couple seconds. "What's your name?"
"Uh, Tera," Tera said, deciding if she lied again, it'd go just as well as the first time.
“Nice to meet you, Tera!”
"You too, uh," Tera stopped, realizing she didn't know either one of the kids' names.
"I-I'm Lucas, and this is Aaliyah." You're so awkward. Be quiet for once, won't you? "We're nekos, me canine, her feline."
"Oh, cool. Well, I got some snowy owl wings," Tera said.
"We have tails and ears." Lucas swiveled his ears as a demonstration.
"Nice," Tera said, Wow, you're great at social interaction, Tera thought sarcastically.
Lucas paused awkwardly. "I… don't think we can really do anything else, at least not that I can think of." (Are they able to transform into their respective animals?)
(I'm alright with it. If so, Tera would be able to become a snowy owl, right?)

"I wonder where my 'children' are?" Thatcher muttered, scanning the area. "I hope their ok."

“I can be annoying.” Aaliyah offered.
"That's not a power. It's a talent." Lucas laughed weakly. "Oh, yeah! We can turn into our animals, but I think that's fairly normal." Lucas shrunk down, transforming into his dog form.
