"Well," He said slowly, "Do you want to hit the wall since if I do it will just take days."

Ellis rolled his eyes. "We're going to start this again?"

"Nooooo, I'm just offering you a job."

“I have beef jerky.”

"Yes, I'll take some beef jerky if your offering it."

“Okay. Happy Birthday,” Mara said, tossing him a piece.

Smiling, he took the piece and quickly devoured it. "You have more??" He asked, looking at his now empty hands.

“Yes, but I think it would be better to save it for later.”

his upside down frown then turned upside down, "Awwww…"

“Sorry,” Mara said, not unkindly.

"Ok…" Turning away, he began hitting the wall with his hammer.

“Okay, when I get out of here. I’m going to carry an ‘in-case-I-get-kidnapped’ kit around in my pocket.”

“Same! With a cell phone that can call without a signal. Which is not possible. Oh well.”

Ellis watched Liam at the wall, flinching every time his hammer hit it.

“Relax a bit, Ellis,” Mara said softly, so only he could hear. “I know you’re freaking out, so am I. But if we’re all going to die, we might as well die happy and without a neck cramp, you know?”

"Wow!" He smiled, hitting the wall really REALLY hard a small cone shape of cement fell out. "We'll be there soon!"

“Great. Especially because we are all the size of a thumbnail,” Mara smiled, hoping that nobody would take offense. “That was a joke,” she added quickly.

"Do you think I will snap back just because you made a joke?" Liam asked, smiling a little, "I'm not all that quick-tempered you know!"

“That’s something,” Mara laughed lightly.

"Well, if you think about it, people would be very annoyed and angry if they wake up and find their in a stupid cement room with a bunch of strangers and then someone calls you a psychopath child and a red-head… Even though I am a red head."

“I always wanted to be a red-head,” Mara said thoughtfully. “Less chance of identity theft.”

"People always steel my things, like my umbrella, money, my toy cars that you better not ask about, and my other things that I rather not mention."

“Ahh. That is not identity theft, but okay.”

"Still! It theft! They target me because they think I'm weak! But, but then I get all ninja style on them and they run home crying."

“I wish I could do that. I tried karate once, and ended up breaking my ankle.”
