(Yeah sure. In another roleplay they called him Nash bc apparently Nath sounded weird to them so they changed it? And I'm like wtf Nath isn't even a nickname for Nathaniel? It's usually Nate or Nathan or smthn lol)

(Alright, will do)
"Sure." Nathaniel pushed the door open and was hit with the smell of chocolate.
“Ahh. Sugar,” Mara breathed.
"Does wonders for the soul, hmm?" The place was very vibrant to say the least. It was a tad overwhelming.
“Yeah,” Mara said. She would’ve loved this.
“So many people, gosh.”
"Yes, it is pretty crowded." People were stressful too, but Nathaniel navigated the crowds well enough. Being small definitely helped.

After a few minutes, Rose grew tired of the hot weather. The shorter demon pushed to his feet, shifting his bat-like wings. He was again glad that humans were unable to see them, but they could always notice his strange eyes. He walked into the city, wandering around. He eventually reached what looked like a candy shop. Candy? What is that? he wondered as he looked up at the sign.
“Oh, my gosh, do you see that?” Mara said excitedly, quite out-of-character for her. She pointed at a display of ‘angel’s halos’, which were actually rings of cotton candy.
Nathaniel inspected the 'halos'. "Think we should get some? I don't think people know that angels don't actually really have halos. At least not most of the time."
“Yeah, common misconception,” Mara said, handing the worker five bucks and getting them both a ‘halo’.
"Hey, look." Nathaniel put the halo on his head; still in the packaging of course. "I'm an angel." He laughed.

Rose pushed the door open, pleased by the gust of cool air that hit him. He stepped inside, red eyes glancing around.
"Hey, look." Nathaniel put the halo on his head; still in the packaging of course. "I'm an angel." He laughed.
“Nice,” Mara laughed, putting hers on, too. She turned and looked into a mirror that was, for some reason, on the wall, admiring its affect, her arm slung around Nate. When she met her own eyes in the reflective surface, though, her vision tunneled back a hundred years.
She’s standing in the doorway, dressed up for that silly holiday they call “Halloween,” a plastic halo on her head, the white dress I made her highlighting every curve. She smiles, laughs, and readjusts her halo, our eyes meeting in the mirror she’d hung on her wall in her room. I reach over, and, grinning, place a locket around her neck and fasten the clasp, the chain glinting in the lamplight. The inscription is so detailed it fades into the locket itself, but I know what it says: ‘Forever’. Well, forever is different for different people….
"You okay?" Nathaniel said, starting to eat the halo.
“Yeah,” Mara said, coming back to earth, shaking her head and catching the halo as it fell. Fallen angels…. “Just… tired, you know?” She started to eat the halo and said, “Let’s move on.”
"Okay. Where are we going now?" He walked beside Mara, having finished the halo. Cotton candy is pretty much just fluffy sugar, so it didn't take long to eat.
“We are going to the chocolate section,” Mara said firmly. She had noticed another set of wings heading that direction, and they were most certainly not of an angel.
"Sounds good." It was a pretty large store, and organized well. It was fairly easy to find things. He hadn't noticed the other winged person, but he followed Mara anyways.

Rose shifted through the crowd, doing his best not to nudge anyone. There was a strange presence in the room, and his instincts made him want to avoid it.
Mara easily caught sight of the strange addition to the Candy Bar, and she followed it. “See that?” She whispered to Nate. “No, not there…. over there.”
"What?" He spotted the wings. Definitely not an angel. Then… what? "Who's that? Do you know them?" Nathaniel glanced up at Mara, confused.
“Nope.”

Rose stood in front of a shelf, glancing around at the various types of sweets. He plucked a random package from the shelf, reading over the label.
“Let’s follow ‘em,” Mara said happily. “Looks like a demon, to be honest.”

(May have to go in a second..)
Rose, after looking around for a few minutes longer, stepped out of the candy shop, stretching his dark wings. They felt too cramped in the crowded store, so he felt better in the open.
(I gtg to bed now)
Nathaniel nodded and walked along quietly a few yards behind the unfamiliar man.
//byee
Mara walked beside Nathaniel, laying her arm across his shoulders with a natural air just in case they needed to make a quick getaway.
