Aliyia hisses. "Whatever"

Mal looked around. “Are you planning to eat? You look hungry.”

"You wouldn't like what I eat." Aliyia says quietly, as if regretting it.

Mal flapped his wings. “I’m asking you if you’re hungry, in suggestion that you eat.”

Aliyia pauses. "I am hungry…but…"

“Then eat. It is not my place to judge what you enjoy.”

Aliyia pauses, looking down. "But…"

“Eat. I will guard, as it is my job.” Mal’s wings swept down below him and he sat on them.

"I don't know how I called you…" Aliyia mumbles as she walks to her kitchen.

Mal took out his spear and started to shine it on his robes. “I have no idea either. I just know the signal came from you.”

Aliyia pauses. "But how…?"

Mal shrugged. “Once again. I don’t know.”

Aliyia sighs, sitting on the ground in front of her dark couch, not wanting to sit on it. "So…"

Mal gazed down at her, flicking a speck off of his spear. “So. Demon.”

Aliyia rolls her eyes. "So. Angel." She retorts back.

Mal glowered at her. “Now that we’re stuck with each other we might as well learn each other’s names.”

Aliyia pauses, looking down. "It's Aliyia…"

Mal shifted around. “My name is Mal.”

Aliyia nods. "Nice to meet you…" She flinches when she says the word 'nice'.

Mal gave a little snark. “Nice to meet you as well.”

Aliyia smiles slightly, mumbling. "So…"

Mal rose his nose. “So, Aliyia.”

"Yeah?" ALiyia looks up at him.

Mal shook his head. “Nothing. Just trying to get used to your name.”

Aliyia only nods. "Alright…" She whispers.

Mal shook his hair back, inhaling gently. He leaned back into the wall and lapsed into silence.
