"As long as I don't fall in Love..." // OxO // Romance // OPEN

"I am immortal so long as I don't fall in love."
That is Winter Haven's mantra. That is his curse and his blessing. He is immortal, unless he falls in love. If he falls in love, he loses his immortality. Forever. Permanently. He will do anything to not lose it. Until he loses his immortality, no one can kill him, he can't get sick, and he can't die. There are things from his past hunting him, that won't stop until he's dead.
Winter, however, has a problem. He is slowly falling in love, and he doesn't know how to make it stop.
So basically, this RP will be about our characters slowly falling in love, while Winter desperately tries not to. It takes place in our own world, with maybe a few hints of magic. None of them have magic powers or anything. Pairing can be gay or straight, I don't care.

Age: appears to be in his early to mid twenties, real age is unknown.
Looks: Winter has pale white hair, that's cut short. He has bright blue eyes. He is tall, with a slim, well muscled body, and scars on his torso that he keeps hidden. He has a scar along his left cheekbone from a swordfight.
Personality: Winter is thoughtful in his actions, and doesn't tend to behave rashly, as he knows one little rash action can have huge and catastrophic results. He loves to read history books, if only to laugh at the inaccuracies. He does enjoy a good fantasy or science fiction book, or think about how the future might go. He does his best to keep himself from falling in love by never going on dates and never ever doing anything that could lead to romantic attachment. He also doesn't have very many friends, as he hates watching them grow old and die while he stays young.
Backstory: He was born in a tiny town in England, and has since moved around a lot. The ones hunting him are the same ones that gave him his immortality, as they had no idea he would be able to go this long without falling in love. More will come out in RP
Other: has an accent that sounds vaguely English, but is hard to trace

Looks: Can I just- Astra Vlahos She has black eyes though. She's about 5'5 and is actually less mature looking than in the picture (just slightly)
Personality: Astra is very reckless and naive, and is also a bit full of herself. She's very blunt and honest, and that tends to get her in trouble. Deep down, she can actually be really thoughtful and wise. She tries to be as nice as she can, but sometimes she'll just lose her temper. In fact, she loses her temper more often than not.
Backstory: Astra lost her father at the age of 3, and her mom developed a mental disorder and a drinking problem. Her mother would always beat her mercilessly all the time. On top of that, her older sister would verbally abuse her. Astra still loved both of them, however, so it sucked when they were both killed in front of her.
Other: she's really adorable and i love her

(I'm fine with whatever, honestly. But! I do have some ideas just in case:

1. they literally bump into each other in a restaurant and my character (probably drunk) will follow him and annoy the hell out of him because she thought he was trying to cop a feel or something
2. If Winter is seen around a public place often (like a library or a park), Astra would definitely try and either befriend them or at least make conversation with them
3. Astra accidentally steals something from him. (Like, he would set something down and she would pick it up and leave.)

But I don't know lol)

Also I forgot to mention that he has a cat. It's a grey tabby cat named Ash, that when he was immortalized, he bargained so that the cat would be immortal too XD)

Astra was already getting drunk and the sun hadn't even set yet. She was waiting for "pretty boy", as she liked to call him. The man with white hair was often seen around here. She was curious as to why he always came to this place. Sure, she always came here too, but that's because her cousin worked there. She took another drink of her alcoholic beverage(™), and looked around to see if he had arrived yet.

Winter had on a long coat against the wind, and ducked into the restaurant quickly, sitting down at his normal table. He had come here a lot over the years, as he liked the food. Also, he had known the current owners grandfather, who had been a good man. He sighed softly, taking off the coat.

Astra spotted him. Heh. What a dingus. She really wasn't sure why she internally called him a dingus, but that didn't matter. She just needed to figure out more about him. She used the reflection of the mirror to spy on him. She just needed to work up the courage to talk to him. A couple more drinks would help with that

Winter ordered, and waited for his food to arrive. He sighed softly, straightening his sleeves. He was always nervous someone would show up and recognize him from thirty years ago, and wonder why he hadn't changed. Why he looked the same.

Astra downed the last drink that she needed. To others, she seemed quite sober despite the fact that she had been drinking nonstop. Fortunately, she didn't reek of alcohol. She only smelled lightly of beer, which was odd. She got up and clumsily staggered over to Winter. She sat down and smiled at him.

Winter looked up, raising his eyebrows. "Uhm. Who are you?" He said slowly. He didn't recognize her. He sighed softly, watching her carefully. What did she want with him? Had she recognized him? Did he need to leave this city and move somewhere else?

She held out her hand and waited for him to shake it. "My name is Astra. Nice to meet you!"

He shook her hand cautiously. "Uhm. I'm Winter Haven." He replied. A fake name. He had long ago abandoned his real name.

"Winter Haven, eh? Fitting," she smiled, glancing at his hair. She looked around the restaurant. "So, I've seen you come here quite often. Do you have an obsession with this place or something?"

Winter sighed softly. "No. I just like the food." He replied. And I promised my friend that I would help his family as much as possible, so I'm going to the restaurant to give them money via paying for food.

"I see," she stared at him, wondering what he was like and who he was. "I've never had the food here, if I"m being honest."

He shifted, beginning to grow uncomfortable under her stare. "Ah. Well, you should try it." He replied slowly.

She grinned. "Maybe I will. Maybe I'll eat with you, too."

"Oh please don't." He blurted before he could think about what to say. He sighed softly. "I'm not really a…people person. I would prefer to eat alone."

She paused, surprised. Usually, people would be dying to talk to her. She sighed, slightly frowning. "Well, I guess that's fair. I'll leave you to it, then… Winter." She got up and sat back down in her original seat. 'He's about as cold as his name.' she thought, still observing him through the mirror.

Winter sighed softly. "Better she leaves me alone." He muttered. She had been pretty, but…pretty was dangerous. Everything was dangerous. He ordered his food, waiting.

Astra was coming up with a plan to talk to him again. To make sure that she at least knew something about this mystery of a person. She ordered another drink (alcoholics amirite) and drank it all in one go.

Winter ate his food once it arrived, eating at a moderate pace. To anyone watching, he wouldn't seem to be eating too slow, nor too fast.
