Sam concentrated, trying to make a ball of fire in their hands. "'Come on, come on…" they muttered frantically.

Kiera phased through the floor till she was at ground level. She ran through the building's walls until she came out into the courtyard. She ran over to the light traveler. She was going to join them. She looked at the security footage and barely made out the words "Jessica's House!". "Why would they wanna go there? Ah yes, probably a party I'm not invited to. I'm about to crash it." she thought. She jumped onto the light traveler and yelled "JESSICA'S HOUSE". Less than a second later she was in the doorway. She opened the door and almost screamed. 3 wolf-like creatures were fighting and Sam was trying to summon their power too.

Conveniently Kiera was behind everyone, so know of them saw her. They were clearing loser to the bigger wolf-like lady. Kiera phased through the floor and swiftly appeared behind the enemy. She roundhouse kicked the creature in the head and the creature crumpled to the floor.

"Jessica's former caretaker. Thanks for helping us dispatch her," Sam said curtly. There was an awkward pause for a couple of seconds. "Can you help us get Jessica's stuff?"

Kiera stopped. "I see." she clears her throat awkwardly. "I came to apologize for the way I acted back there. It was unlike me to snap at you like that."

Kiera nods at the question and begins getting Jessica's stuff while awaiting their response.

Kiera saw Jessica and her family and the whole situation made sense. She felt so selfish to think they were just ditching her. "Here Jess, I can take the kids back to the campus. You get your stuff I'll meet you guys there."

Sam stood there, eyes wide. "I…I…" For the first time, Sam was at a loss for words. They finally brushed a quick hand across their eyes. They scooped up the baby gently. "Hey, you, the older girl, what's your name?"
